If no power, the problem is a open fuse or a power transformer with a built in thermal fuse that is open, but if the unit has partial power the audio output ic is bad, check speaker wires for shorts.

Hi,
Use your desktop media to rip( copy ) the music from CD, convert it to MP3( by using the tools in the media options ).
Open the files that was ripped and connect your MP3 player via USB cable connector, open both files, copy or drag the file from the ripped folder to the MP3 player folder.

For the smpv-4gbeb the shuffle function is called random.
Go into menu1-MUSIC.
Now go into the submenu REPEAT mode.
In the repeat mode select S for shuffle playback music.

Here is an easy way to delete files:

Deleting Files,Pictures,Videos,Audio
Books, Apps,etc. from MP3 Player/Ipod
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hook up your mp3 player to your computer
Go to your desktop and double left click on "My Computer"
When it opens you will see listing that says "Devices with Removal Storage" your mp3 player should be listed there.
Right click on your mp3 player, and a window will open, right click on "Open" and now your files/songs should be visible.
Hold the left click down and drag it across all the files/songs that you do not want this will highlight the files/songs you do not want, release,right click and then click on "Delete"
Now you mp3 player should be clear of the files/songs you do not want.
BIG WARNING: BE CAREFUL AND DO NOT DELET THE FILES NEEDED TO OPERATE YOUR MP3 PLAYER.

You have either small motor or gear broken on your player that causing it stays open. Please check and fix them by replacing with new one.

Hello,
To set the clock you need to -

1. With the unit powered off press and hold the "Time Set" button (looks like a reverse check mark.)
2. Now (at the same time) press ^ (up arrow) for Hours and press (the down arrow) for Minutes.
3. After the time is set release the "Time Set" button.
