You need to open it up to check the parts inside. First look around to see if there is any plastic parts that are damaged. This might account for the noises inside. If you can not see anything wrong. Get a magnifying glass or lens and look at the lazer lens. Make certain the power is NOT on for any of these tests. If you see any odd light patterns or damage on the lazer lens it will not play discs. Unless it was an expensive model it will not be worth repairing if the lens is damaged. Do not open the unit if the model is still under warranty. In which case contact the maker of the unit.

Please try to put in an ordinary audio CD track and see if this is detected. If yes the optical is working, if not there is no laser scanning and the possibility of the head being faulty is high.
Now certain cleaner disks are not read and so will not be tracked. Hence it is best for cleaning manually the laser head eye with a cotton bud very softly and without any pressing of the lens eye.
If there is still no result then watch the CD if it spins or tries to spin. If the head unit moves up or down to focus or in and out of the drive, if so the board seems to work correctly and the possibility of the optical head being the suspected fault is very high.

But to spin disc, the disc must be loaded properly into the loading mechanism. Just check the loading belt that attached with loading motor and loading gear set for any loose, which may cause improper disc loading. Replace it first. If it does not help you, check the voltage at the seled motor terminals. There must be a voltage [4.5VDC approx:]. If the voltage is there and still the sled motor does nor work, replace it. if the problem came from the factory it may be unavailable for the model ...but also can be just a software issue ..and updating the firmware can fix it ..Remember that updating firmware is a 2 way street ..and can cause good ..and loose some functions in the same time ..so ..think twice before proceed with it ..If it works good..I would not make it unless is a have to do it matter ..

If the display is working, you have audio. Check your amplifier. 1300Watt adaptor ... This unit draws a very low power and that is not needed.

1. Power Off: Turn off the device.
2. Jumper Configuration: Locate the jumper labeled "S16" on the device. Initially, it should be connected to pins 2 and 3.
