what brand is your pc and wat model number? you missing the sound driver, you have to download it and install the real one from the manfacture website.

go to HP commercial website and describe the exact name of the sound driver and dowload the exact version of it , sometimes upgraded of that driver wont support the motherboard.

this could be a result of the software malfunction ...i'm talking about i-tunes,if your computer plays other sounds,it clearly shows that its not a problem with the sound card which is nothing but the hardware for playing sounds in the computer.

to check if ur system has a Sound card go to Device manager ie rightclick on myComputer>manage>on ur Left handside click on Devicemanager>there u will be able to Find if there is a Sound Card.Or wht u cand do id help us with the Modelnumber of ur system or Moboinfo we can Let u knw about it.

IF you have xp go to control panel/sound,speech and audio. You will see a drop down choice that says change speaker settings. Click on this. Then under the tab that says speaker settings hit advanced. Then select the sound scheme that says monitor with stereo speakers and apply this. Assuming you still have a functioning sound driver this should return it to the monitor speakers. Hope this helps.

no sir/madam you have to insert the sound card and put the cd of sound card and then installed the driver then you get it
