Your system is has the wrong language settings.

Go to the control palel/ regional and language settings/

Set the correct country from the drop down box then click the languages tab/details and do the same. Apply and exit all should be OK now

Are you running the latest drivers? I could not locate any at all online.There are many issues with that model of Keyboard... personally, i would go out and buy a logitech keyboard.

On many laptops, there is a soft switch to turn the touchpad on and off. It is a keyboard combo of the Fn key and one of the special function keys. The special function key will have a picture of a touchpad on it. Press that combo and see if function is restored.

There are some solutions to your problem. It can be the keyboard cable, PS2 type or USB type or maybe ur keyboard is working through the blue tooth. Remove your keyboard cable to your machine and then connect it again, then reboot your machine. This solutions could be help to your problem. Good luck!

The keyboard and the touch pad would have frozed because of the sytem being hung up.

In this case , a restart suffices and after you do that , it's best to have a scan of the hard disk for errors.

You can do this via the scandisk option from your computer, once you do a full scan, notice the difference between the system's performance before and after scan , you should find a significan difference and your system would not hung up usually.

Replace it.

Look under regional settings, and find keyboard, I suspect you have the wrong language.

These keyboards only seem to work with a certain type of battery. I found the best results with a plain ALKALINE battery. I'm specifically using an Energizer, but I would guess most any Alkaline would work.

My original battery went dead after 6 months, and I replaced with a rechargeable Nickel-metal hydride (NiMh). My keyboard started behaving sluggish less than 24 hours later. I thought there was no way it was the battery, because these are the batteries that last forever in a digital camera (when Alkaline's get drained in about 1 hour in a digital camera). I tried ever fix possible, even blaming it on a new wireless router I had put in. I changed the router's wireless channels, removed cordless phones, and about everything else.

Finally I put another set of rechargeable batteries in, and everything worked great for about another 24 hours. I then decided to go back to a plain Alkaline battery, and all has been well for over a week now.

I'm sure that's not the issue for everyone, but maybe it will help some. So many of the batteries today are made for digital devices, and we had to look specifically for the Alkaline, making sure not to get a NiMh or Lithium Ion battery.

The Caps Lock is always located on the left hand side of the keyboard usually above the left shift key.

If it is only several weeks old, it should still be covered by warranty, and therefore you should be able to exchange it for a working one.
