How remove feeder tray from 6600
Hi Ed Walsh,
When you say feeder tray, are you speaking of the document feeder tray, or the paper input tray? The document feeder tray is not customer replaceable so it will not be removable. The input paper tray is however removable. Perhaps you will find the support page for your Officejet 6600 helpful:

Will not scan to computer
This is not a simple answer.
You have to check the hardware connection, and also the software settings whether it has been changed.
1) For hardware connection, you have to check the network cabling whether they are really connected by applying certain testing, in which your IT staff should handle that;
2) for software settings, you IT staff need to check whether the scanner driver is installed properly, whether the IP address of the scanner/printer has changed from previously set. All these stuff need certain networking knowledge. Also the firewall setting is an issue that can prevent communication to the printer from the computer.
My printer will print from Word but not from
Open an Internet Explorer window, and go to File>Print. You should see your printer listed. If you use more than one printer, select the one you want to use. If no printer is showing, go to the left of the window until you can see Add Printer, and tell it what printer to use.
