Follow the wires back from the water inlet valve to where is joins onto the control board and check the connection to it.

It appears to be from 2009 and for the Australian market, so you may wish to think about a new one. The control board is $189 AUS. If you do wish to replace the board, let Miele do it. I found this hello my name is Jon and i am an authorized Miele service technician and I can help you today. are you sure that you are not misreading the fault or error code? to my knowledge there is no f 1 E error message, just an f13. which is a water intake fault, heater pressure switch. if that is the error you are getting, please look at the following link. it is to the error code list for your machine. please perform the steps listed for the f13 error under the remedy. if the remedy doesn't work I would replace the heater pressure switch and the water flow system. Wash temperatures are not able to be changed, they are dictated by the thermistor sensor and the setting of the EPROM in the control board, however, the 40' Wash temperature refers to the wash labels tags in clothes. About 20 years ago when HE detergents came out, manufacturers reduced water temperatures by 10'C, so although it is a '40' Wash', you should find the temperature is lower. does your machine have a drain trap-clean that out-if you still are getting the message,there may be a problem with you drain pump-check it for blockage. the check inlet means you have a water supply problem-either blockage or no pressure coming into the machine-both supply and drain can get clogged and bring your laundry to a halt-cheers Denny
