Would say the tank is not problem, believe this model may have a check valve In cap, would replace or repair cap and check lines for holes. Maybe this drawing will help.

Would start and get the pressure up, if it seems sufficient would leave alone if not would screw clockwise (believe this would increase press) until you think it is sufficient, always remember to hold pressure switch on wand in when starting as this helps relieve work on engine.

Dear Mickey,
Since I do ot have your machine in hand, it is very hard to diagnose, but here is one thing you can be sure never to do, relative to your symptom.
Make sure whenever the machine is at rest, on a shelf, or cabinet, or even a storage box, that the spark plug is higher than the oil.
If you do not, the oil will run into the combustion chamber, making it impossible to start, because motor oil is not compressible.
If my suggestion makes no sense to you, ask a mechanic about this, and they can show you.
God bless your efforts.

Would bet it is 32:1 but many people now days are using a 50:1 mixture using a synthetic 2 cycle engine oil with 89 octane fuel even for 16:1 ratio. Claiming no carbon buildup and more power.????

Remove plug before trying to start pull a few times with plug out you may have quite a bit of fuel exhaust from spark hole then reinstall plug and try starting. Sometimes fuel runs into head above the piston (especially in hot weather) causing the piston trying to combust a liquid. If you leave fuel cap loose in hot weather it will help prevent this.
