Miele H398BP2 / H398B2 Electric Double Oven Questions & Answers
When using the BAKE setting,
more than likely there is an issue with one of the temp sensors. you will need to press and hold clear then upper on off at the same time then release them then immed. press clear 3 times and hold on the 3rd till the service screen appears. on the right side you will see internal temp and catalyst temp they should be equal or very close. ill bet one of them is alot higher than the other if so the sensor will need replace but depends which one is bad as there are 2 of them. if the problem is on the lower just repeat above but use lower instead of upper

No heat
Since the control seems to be working properly, then it must either be a problem between the connection from the sensor to the oven control or possible bad sensor.
Check first to be sure your oven sensor has not shifted or moved from its position while baking by pushing or jiggling the plug.
If the sensor is connected properly then you might need to replace the sensor itself.
Take note: Disconnect the power to your electric oven before doing any oven maintenance.
I hope this helps!
Oven model# MLH4890B2SS, Lower oven would not heat
That could very well be a corroded connection between the sensor and the oven control. Or the sensor itself might be bad. Check it for continuity between either wire and frame.
Sense the oven control seems to be working it must be a problem with the sensor probe and sense the sensor is much cheaper than an oven control I would replace it. Note most new sensors come without the quick plug so you have to splice it in, so if the quick connect looks crappy to the one you have now then all you might have to do is simply bypass the connection.
