go through the menu on the printer ,there is a setting where it can be set to continue printing when the toner is out.

If you chose: Print in GreyScale, the printer will be forced into Monochrome mode. This is available in the Printer Properties. However, I do not know if this will work on this printer. I have seen it work with other manufacturer's printers (mostly inkjets).

The follwing instructions were found at HP support center for your printer. --http://myprinter.hp.com/etc.etc. you could try that.
The sensor is usually is a small arm that hangs above the paper stack

try performing a hard reset by holding go and turning on the printer.....otherwise you may try to download the current firmware from hp and install...

I generally use small soft-bristle brushes to move the toner to locations where I can easily get to it with a small hand-held vacuum unit and just **** it right out.

You need to ask them to change the fuser..The fuser is the part of the printer that actually melts the toner onto the page. Here is a website that gives you more info on the fuser so they can't B.S. you anymore..either the fuser works or it doesn't..

You need to visually inspect the rollers. I suspect that there is a small piece of paper jamming the paper path. Check where it is jamming, and inspect.

I have a 4 month old hp 640 fax and printer. I just started seeing a black line down every paper I print.

The fuser error 50 means that the fuser heater lamp is blown and you need to get another one (whole assembly). I personally use printerworks at www.printerworks.com to order a new one if you want to do it yourself, otherwise you will need to drop it off at an HP Authorized repair center..

My solution then, is do not use CuteWriter as it sounds like it is causing a problem..

Have you tried this program/pdf on another computer? Does it have the same error?

look in options of the printer (Properties) and put quality on FAST or DRAFT

If you have pulled out paper that was stuck before you may have flipped a sensor flag out of position. I have found in the past small pieces of paper left under the plate at the very bottom of the toner catridges where the paper comes in.

install the latest version of dirvers from www.hp.com, and change the settings where paper source is automatic. that all problem solves. feel free to mail me
