HP DeskJet 845c Printer - Page 7 Questions & Answers
Internal test page fine, external prints black in blue
before you print, you have to check your options.
For example, if you want to print black and white, when you select PRINT from the menu, you click on PROPERTIES to the right side or bottom side, depending on which windows you use, then select grayscale/black and white, etc in the options that will follow to correctly use your ink, you can always REMOVE the ink from your printer as you only want to print black and white or non color pages.
I hope this helps you.

Ink cartridge "docking station" dislodged
Hi there
Thank you for your reply.
I have solved the problem with lots of patience, perseverance and prayer. Unfortunately, the method I used is quite unorthodox and I would not recommend anybody to try this at home. Rather take your printer to a reputable technician.
But, the "docking station" is back in its place and my printer is working like a dream again.
Kind regards

Hp Deskjet 845C - Yellow Colour not Printing
I found this post to work for me when yellow was not printing on my HP PSC750 after using 2 cartridges: "Well if you want to damage your printer use alcohol. But if you want to
make it work then pull the cartridge from the printer and run hot water
on a couple of paper towels leaving alot of hot water in the towels.
Put some thing under them to keep them from staining your counter top
and then set the cartridge down onto the hotwater towel and let the hot
water melt away the dry ink and in minutes you may be printing again if
this is what it is. Be sure and use a dry paper towel to wipe off the
ecess wet before you reinstall the cartridge."
845 Printer Problem
The colors when printing are not what they are supposed to be. How do I fix this?
Prints one page on many pages
I think the problem is now fixed: I reinstalled the HP printer drivers, and made sure to choose HP DeskJet 845c in the printer setup before I printed a document.
No printing
the printhead homes at the left side of the unit when in stop. turning it on, the head stays there. if you open the cartridge change door does the head come over to this position?
Print is coming out crooked
You will need to go to the website for your printer and download the current drivers, overwrite the drivers that are currently on your system and do a calibration test once completed.
This will tell your system to find the new drivers, set up with the new drivers, and align your system to the drivers/printer.
If you cannot get new drivers, you can go to your MY COMPUTER and look for PRINTER then once in there, look for your unit, right click or click on the unit, and open it up, look for a setup option, or properties option, and use TEST of CALIBRATION, you can also notate your current drivers and see if the manufacturing website has something more current than the version you have, or compatible to your operating system.
I hope this helps. Please rate me!

HP 845C
Try turning the printer on while it is connected and see if the computer recognizes it. Once it does it will prompt you for the driver. Now you should be able to install the driver.
HP 845C Printing problems
try pressing the feed button and hold for a couple of seconds. Make sure that you have enough paper in the machine. Try this if the printer does not take the paper clean the feed rollers and try this again as I think that all this seems to be is a paper feed problem.
Hope this helps you
Thanks J

Printer problem
hmmm..you mean the cartridge carrier? Try turning off the printer(unplug from the outlet) let it rest for around 1 or 2 minutes(to discharge all the electronics) and then try again. You may have a jammed carriage assembly, from what you're saying, but sometimes it also happens when the machine hits a power speed bump too.
Got backup?
