HP c4280 All in one printer, scanner, copier.
I visited the HP Support site and downloaded the Uninstaller and then the Installer. It took about 90 minutes but has cured the problem completely. I also made sure all drivers were up to date from the HP site check.
I CAN NOT INSTALL MY

First remove all printer drivers in ctrl panel, then disconnect the printer from the computer, reinstall the drivers disc and make sure printer is not connected to the computer. Only connect the printer to the computer after the installation procedure is finished. Windows will find new hardware and install the drivers for you at this point.
Im trying to scan photos
I will list the steps that will allow you to scan your photos.
1. Turn on your computer,let it bootup, then turn on your printer.
2. Locate the "HP Imaging Director" icon on your computer ( placed there when your printer was
installed on your computer), double click it and a screen will appear which shows the scanning
options of your printer.
3. Lift the printer's lid and place a photo on the glass top.
4. Click "Scan Picture" from the scanning menu.
5. The scanning lamp will come on and make one pass under the photo, as this is happening,
your photo will appear on your monitor, allowing you to see the scanning result.
At this time,you can make adjustments, if you wish, to the scanned photo or accept it as is.
6. Click the "Accept" button and the scanning lamp will make a final pass under the photo.
7. The photo can be seen in the HP Photo Gallery or your computer's My Picture folder.

Every time I change a cartridge in my HPC4280
I believe that you are not completing the alignment process.
Let me explain the alignment process..
1- Remove the usb cable from printer and computer if connected through usb cable.
2- Turn off the printer, wait for 30 seconds, turn on the printer
3- It will print an alignment page
4- Place this page on scanner glass of printer from right hand corner
5- Press OK or SCAN button on printer
6- This will complete the alignment process.
It will not print an alignment page again and again.

Connection to printer was lost
Hi katie. Make sure that your wireless network router is stable. And take into consideration also your distance with your wireless router. You will see the wireless signal strenght on the upper part of the screen. It will tell you how many percent you are connected the wireless router. Minimum threshold would be 60% connectivity to the network router.
I lost the disk
you can download the software and drivers for ur printer from the net.... if u cud please provide us the model number of ur printer we ll be able to tell u where u can download the softwares....
I reloaded my HP C4280 printer's cartridge
There is no way to reset the embidded chip on the cartridge. I suggest purchasing another printer manufactured by a different company. Sometimes you can buy them as little as $40.00. But be aware that it too may have an embidded chip. One way to outsmart HP is for everyone not to purchase an HP printer.
I have a HPc4280 printer
Ink Cartridges for the HP C4280 has a microchip on the cartridge itself that turns off the printing after it runs out of ink. You must purchase a new HP 75 cartridge only from HP. A way to out smart HP is to purchase a different printer made by a differnet manufacture, but be aware they also may be using the onetime microchip in their cartridges.
