Scanner failure error. Changed all

You can try this work around on your all in one printer, follow these steps.

1. Remove the cmos battery. How to:

2. Plugged the power supply into a power strip that has a switch to turn off power. Reason: So you'll be able to turn off the power from the power strip instead of unplugging the power supply from the wall all the time.

3. Disable ink level checking for both black and color. To do this, when you turn on the power from the printer. It should say Initializing. When it's done and it says the date. Press the left and right arrows at the same time. Then press the numbers 456. It should then ask you a Yes or No question. Press the number that says Yes. Then you'll press the two arrow keys again and this time you'll press numbers 789. A Yes or No question will appear and again you'll press the number that corresponds with Yes.

Sometimes this procedure doesn't work and you'll be required to remove the power supply from behind the printer. Once unplugged, wait 30 seconds before plugging it back in.

Please ensure that there is no objects in the paper feeding area. Open up the printer and see if there is any debris or items which may be effecting the heads. Check the ribbon cables and rod on which the ink slides for obstructions. Is there an error code that posts?

I keep getting a message...

The scanner is not able to calibrate. It can be a few things. Either the scanner lamp has reached the end of it's life and can not output sufficient light, the first surface mirrors in the scanner head are dirty (blocking sufficient light), or the calibration strip is dirty. That machine is what I would call decent. I would prefer it over a brand new model because it holds a substantial amount of ink. I would attempt to repair it, but would suggest taking it to a qualified shop, ask them about the problem and see if they can suggest any of these as possibilities before giving them the work.

Can i substitute my color cartridge with a black

No !!! First of all they are not the same size so the black cartridge most probably won't fit on the color slot, and if for any reason you need to print more with it, the black ink would have left its "mark" inside the color ink the injectors.

SCANNER FAILURE TURN OFF AND ON IT WILL NOT

On the top of the scanner mechanism, there is a black tab that gets caught on the underside of the scanner surface, just beyond the glass, towards you. You will hear a gear grinding sound, that"s the tab getting caught and the motor skipping on the belt. either bend the tab down, or remove it. Its on the black cover that"s on top of the scanner mechanism. Also remove any tape that is on the bottom of the trailing cable under the scanner mechanism that prevents it from moving all the way to the left. This worked for me, It drove me nuts till I found out.

HP d135 All-in-One it keeps giving me a scanner

Scanner, put your scanner settings to "Skip preview and send directly to photo view center". If I set this option then I don't get the error. Its only when I use preview and then accept that I get the error. It may be that the usb port sends the data too fast or the data to tell the scanner to crop is corrupted in the scanner memory and the only way to clear it is to turn on and off. What if you sent the accept function through a network card that plugs into the back of the scanner, does it still get corrupted? Or what happens if you use an older slower usb port to send the data. I did everything, clean the glass, change battery. But this is the only thing that worked. Respond and tell me what happens with your printer. Thanks.

Will not print . print head moves but no print.

Since this is an inkjet machine, there should be a way to force the printer to go through a self cleaning which should clear the print head of any blockage.

I just moved and can't find power cord or any

Buy a new cord anywhere where computer products are sold. I believe your model uses a USB Print cord.
