Laserjet 2300d will not power up. Is there a fuse

first check the power cord and source.. if you have a spare cord, switch them, if this does not work turn on the printer and listen closely for any sounds, like a humming , if there is not sound then there is a fuse on the power supply, you can pull it and replace.

and if that does not solve the problem time to replace the power supply board. If you need further help, reach me via phone at https://www.6ya.com/expert/howard_563901c2e8628759

Have HP Laserjet 2300d (Q2474A) printer that won't

Make sure the printer is plugged into a functioning wall outlet supplying the proper voltage (110V or 220V). If you are using a surge protector, extension cable, or power strip, plug the printer directly into the wall outlet. Press the power button to turn on the printer. If the issue persists, unplug the printer and wait 15 minutes. After 15 minutes, plug the printer back in and press the power button. If the issue persists, try a different power cord (if available). Hp 2300dn. Why does double-sided printing blow the house fuse?

I have to say that this is one of the oddest questions I have been asked. The only real difference between single sided and duplex is that there is one solenoid and the drive motor reverses direction. Neither of these actions are directly connected to the power supply. Might be that there is a short. I would try a different outlet first.

Hp 2300d paper stops at exit roller

Probable causes: First have you tried running the paper thru the manual feed tray and see if it stops at the fuser unit.. if so then proceed with checking the exit area of the printer(fuser) and make sure there is no obstruction blocking the path, could also be the fuser actuator, small black arm generally pushes the paper during it's delivery(exitiing) of paper.. Worst case scenario is a paper feed timing issue.. but first check the exit area of the printer and the paper tray. Printer jam after first copy

  • If a paper jam occurs when using the optional lower tray unit, check for correct installation of the upper paper tray.
  • Always remove all paper from the paper tray and straighten the stack when you add new paper. This helps prevent multiple sheets of paper from feeding through the printer at one time and reduces paper jams.

Out laser 2300 printer has

All three lights flashing indicates a general failure. this is caused by either a bad connection, a bad formatter or a bad engine control board. Disconnect any cables you have attached to the printer and restart. If it starts fine then you may have a bad cable. If this is a networked printer, then it is quite possible that the network card has failed. You can try removing the network card if it has one and restarting. The JetDirect 615N card that shipped with this series of printers is notorious for failures.

Feed switch switch seems loose

When you changed the roller you knocked the sensor out of place. Normally when you change the roller you want to release the right side roller lock first so that you can retract it and it keeps everything in place. You will need to remove the roller and then move the sensor lever on the roller shaft until it is in the correct position and them reintall the roller. This is sometimes easier to do if you tilt the printer on it's back so you can see what you are doing. Remove the toner cartridge first.

make sure you have set up your computer's network in file and printer sharing is on..
if you have never done it before...

here is how you will do it..

click start

my network places

on the left side of the window you can see this "set up home or small office network"

click it and a dialog box will appear

click next

next again

just next again

asign a computer name that you want

check what is your work group name if there is any..if not just use the default then next again

turn on file and printer sharing then next

then wait until it is finished

sometimes if it is your first time to set up it

it needs to restart your computer..

and now you can print your document via lan printer..

There is a line of sensors along the paper path, if any of these are obscured by even the smallest scrap of paper you will get the messasge, re check the paper path again it only needs a scrap of paper, if you can spot any of the sensors give them a blow with some compressed air (paper dust build up), last but worth a try unplug for 2 minutes to allow residual power to drain and then try power up and see if the message has cleared
