Most 49 errors are caused by a newer program you are printing with that the printer does not fully support. You need to upgrade the firmware on your printer to the latest revision as this will fix 99 percent of these errors.
First you will need to clear any jobs that are in the print queue, then restart the printer. If it comes to ready, you will be able to upgrade the firmware. If not, disconnect any network or usb cables and restart again, if it comes to ready, it means there is still a stale print job and you should check the print queues again and restart your computer.
