Codigo de error 86:01 Carmotor.

Either something is jammed and preventing the print head carriage from moving from side to side, or the drive belt has snapped. Open the window and check the black belt that runs the width of the printer. Check both ends carefully because often the failure happens when the belt frays and gets wrapped around the motor or idler pulley.

Hi Vinay kumar kuchipudi , I tried using refillable cartridges and my CYAN is always flashing . rest of the cartridges is reconised. Can you please advice me what to change. I tried the second new ref

Sorry for the delay., As you know each cartridge having memory chip, the chip keeps the estimated level of ink inside as per the out put print volume . But there is no contact or any internal circuit to link up with the chip.. Once its empty, even refilling the ink inside chip wont recognizes the ink level, results printer detects that cartridge running out of ink & printer warning appears on panel. You need to replace the chip while refilling the ink. Now a days universal re-settable chips are available in the market, get the set of chips replace with existing chips..

I am getting an error telling me to replace all 4 print heads. I thought it was odd that all 4 would go out at the same time. Should i replace all 4 print heads or is the problem something else? Maybe

This is general problem in hp plotters.. understand the concept: If U R replaced any one of print head in good working printer, printer detects new print head & it will try to align it with others. Printer will print align page to read, while reading if its found any other print heads are poor quality or bad condition, it will say to replace them also.. Some times it may 2,3 or all. If UR printer is trying to printing align page and reading it, definitely it will detects & displays the faulty /poor quality print heads. U have to replace it.. If UR feels its expensive, try to clean the print heads manually & try for UR luck... Trailing cable error is 11:11... dc99e678-f513-40da-b2c5-c85c57a6b8a8.jpg

ERROR CODE 11:11

Make sure the trailing cable is pushed all the way in (no bent pins) to both the back and to the printhead. Push the carriage all the way to the right and turn the printer off and then back on.

My hp designjet 500 doesn't recognize the I/O Card

By I/O card I assume you are referring to your JetDirect or the optional HP/GL2 formatter board, your EIO devices? If you have them installed and the plotter does not recognize them. Shut down the plotter then remove the power cord from the plotter or the wall and wait 5 mins. Remove ALL EIO devices (JetDirect / formatter). Plug the plotter back in and restart the plotter. Test functions of the plotter. Shut down the plotter and then add back only the JetDirect. Start the plotter and check the function, and check if the menu will allow you to setup the JetDirect. If successful, shutdown again and reinstall the Formatter Card (if you use one). Test functions and check the I/O setup in the menu. The idea in a nutshell, remove the cards and add them back one at a time to see which one if any is bad and causing the I/O to shut off. If this does not help, you may need to replace the plotters Electronics module

Trailing cable burns

The smoking and melting cable are the result of a short cicuit. The problem is going to be determining which end the short is occuring on. It most likely is the carriage end of the cable that is the culprit. Most likely you will need to replace the carriage assembly and of course the trailing cable as the new one may have also been damaged. You may need to use your fingers to check if the top of the carriage assembly (where the cable connects) is also getting hot (warmer than normal).
