The 49.xxxx errors are indeed related to firmware and the formatter and can indicate faulty firmware or formatter... but are almost always triggered by some kind of communication that the machine doesn't know what to do with... thus generating an error.

Power fluctuations (not clean power), or random noise (RFI/static) transmitted on network or printer cables can also cause this problem. If your unit sits on a line of power that is shared with other devices (another printer/copier or a group of computers or a vending machine or cooler)... move it to a dedicated power outlet.

If it's caused by signals the machine is receiving, it can be tricky to correct.

There are three rollers. One in the tray and two in the feed assembly. Could be the registration assembly but I have not replaced many of these.

It might be economy mode, go to menu >configure device >print quality> economy mode> make it on..

If it is jjust one color. Replace that toner since the wiper blade is not working. If it any or all colors try taking out the fuser and seeing if the image is laft on it. The fuser is under the top panel.

I really would need to see a print file to know what is going on.

Set the printer driver to "Print to File", when prompted, name the file "line". The driver will append a .prn to the name.

The resulting file: "line.prn" can then be analysed using any Hex Editor if it is a PCL file or A Postscript error analyser if the job is in Postscript.

Also, fyi - I do not believe you have a simple margin error. But just to make sure, under page setup, make sure that you have the correct page size selected in the driver and the same on the printer.

try replacing the fusing unit.

Toner and the drum is all one unit it is more likely that toner got onto the transfer roller and some near the fuser unit. Best thing to do is turn the machine off open the cover and remove the toner cartridge.

Then Hoover (vac) the inside with a soft brush and clean out all the loose toner. Once that is finished install toner cartridge a run about fifty sheets through to get rid of any other toner. Suggest installing a new toner cartridge as well.

When you replaced the drum did you printed like 15 pages? Did you noticed any change in the ouput of the line did it fade?, if you are 100% sure that the cartridge is ok., then check the fuser and/or the transfer roller. Make sure that the printer is clean inside.
