There are many things that can interfere with proper sending of faxes. Has anything changed in your office recently? Phones changed? Did you recently get DSL service from your phone provider? If so, you probably need a DSL filter on the line going to your fax machine. Try faxing to different faxes to make sure that it is not the person you are sending to that has the problem. If you are using Voice Over IP or VOIP phone, good luck, as older fax modems do not always play nice and you will likley need to speak with your VOIP provider to ensure they have their lines configured. If nothing has changed in your office then perhaps your modem has just failed, it does happen. A new cord between the jack and the machine is a a cheap test as well. If you have a telephone, unplug the fax and plug in the phone and see if you can make a call.

Hi, If the USB cable is too long, you may have problems... I would guess the cable length should be shorter than 10 to 15 feet. More likely, the driver is not looking at the USB port... Go to the driver "printer... properties... ports" and try "DOT or USB" ports... If yoy see an "LPT!" or "IP_1" selected, it is not channeling the print job to the USB port. LPT1 is a parallel port and the IP_1 is an ethernet port!

did you remember to remove the pull strip from the cartridge? Other possbility is a bad cartridge, if you still have the old cartridge, put it in and try a print. If that does not produce yellow then you might have a broken contact on the yellow cartridge bay.

by purchasing a new toner unit perhaps- you should never run a toner unit beyond its working life preset- parts have worn developer has worn down drum surface will be scarred drum blade will be blunt-etc etc etc..... replace with NEW and have 100% life bar
