It is the carousel that is dislocated. Check the alignment if it's brooken

Unplug the machine. On the right side of the machine you will find a cover. Remove the cover and you will find 1 open slot. The machine can take a total of 224MB (96 is built into the machine) leaving 128 available. The memory type is 100pin, 133MHz, SDRAM DIMM.

Simply click the memory into the blank slot and replace the cover.

Once completed, plug the machine back in and print a configuration page. The memory total should be at 224 once you have installed your 128MB.

ok, for those who are having troubles releasing the clutch.
when i fixed my printer, i didnt even know there was such a release.

i fixed it in an other way (not for the faint hearted)
open the printer, remove all cartridges and photoconducter unit.

when misalligned, you will notice the guides where the toner cartiridges slide into place, left and right, are shifted.
the part of the printer body guides misalign with the carousel guides.

basically, what you need is a big screwdriver.
push the big screwdriver on the right side between the carousel and the body.
the black plastic ferriswheel will bend inwards, enough to go free from the little white driving gear wheel.
now move the right ferris wheel 1 notch into position.
ready. reinstall toners etc.

be carefull not to break it.
it does work, done it on 3 machines now.

the only reason why this happens which i could find,
is that there was a toner cartridge that is stuck.
feel if you can rotate the white cartridge gear by hand.
if not, that is your problem.

possible lesson:
do not over fill your cartridge.
it is perfectly possible to refill, done that many times with these machines, but dont overfill.
ot maybe it is moist in the toner or something.
these cartridges dont have eternal life

You can try, but there's no guarantee that it will actually make the printer drum run longer. The process of replacing it is outlined here, so I would follow that and see if it solves your issue. If not, you probably do need to purchase a new one.

You cannot clear about the memory. When it says that, it's referring to the random access memory (RAM) Long explanation short, your computer doesn't have enough RAM. You can purchase a stick of ram from http://newegg.com for about 30-50 dollars.

You need to know what type of ram you have, so ask someone you know that's good with PCs, or get CPU-Z and check yourself.

High temperature detected in fuser, switch off the machine wait 15mts, power on, if problem persists replace fuser assembly..

I noticed that this was posted in Oct 2010. If you are still waiting for an answer,the printer has a scanner error. Power off for about 30 seconds. Power on, if error persists, the scanner assembly will have to be replaced.I hope that you got it fixed by now!
