Printer cartridge cradle is stuck-hp photosmart 7350
I just had the same problem...and this is what I did to get it working...
Turn off your printer. Open the top. Push the cartridge thingie off to the side (if possible) and then take QTips and cleaned the silver bar the
cartridge moves on. Got a lot of ink off of it.
Should run after that.
Printer says both print cartridges should be
The printer is reset and has some conflicts with the PC. So remove printer and reinstall afterr uninstalling the driver software first.
After which you can connect the printer to be detected and installed.
Now make sure before this that the roller and mechanical movements are correct.
Take a test print. If not check on the mechanism for errors.
How to install printer without cd to computer
mcdevito75 here, You may or may not need the CD to install your printer. I would try in search from your home page the exact name of the printer and istall, you just may get the instalation instructions online or the ability to buy ther install CD. In either case there will most likely be a charge, but you"ll just have to see during your search.

Well, go to your local Ink Link franchise and ask them to clean the print heads on your cartridges, that should solve your problem. They should have the proper tools for that and you won't be wasting any more ink on software cleaning.
I cleared a paper jam and unstuck the print
Clearing paper jam "and unstucking" cartridge holder should have nothing to do with power. So I suspect the power cable or your source of power. Please check your power source and if that is OK, try another power cable; chances are that the power cable sudden went bad. however if after the printer comes on you are still unable to print, go through this procedure below:-
Some printers require certain motions "to be convinced you have cleared paper jam."
i.
Put off the printer and unplug it from its power
source.
ii.
Open all the covers/shutters on the printer
(usually you will find one in the front or top and one at the back of the
printer).
iii.
Now pull out the cartridge carefully and place
it on safe surface. (Be careful not to place it where it may slide and fall.
This could damage the cartridge)
iv.
Site the paper that has jammed and pull it out
in the opposite direction of its movement. Do not pull in the direction it was
coming out. (Pulling the paper in the opposite direction is important for the
printer’s mechanism. Printer must be off).
Never pull out paper from a printer when the printer is powered on.
v.
Return the cartridge gently and press it firmly
inside so that you here it snap inside.
vi.
Close all covers at the top, front or back.
vii.
Power on your printer and you should be able to
print again.
I have Windows Vista and an older HP Photosmart
It is quite possible that your printer cannot "keep up" with the speed of Vista.I am using an H.P.Photosmart all-in-one #7760 with Vista Ultimate with no problems.I would suggest, with such low prices these days,to upgrade to a newer ,faster printer.
Why did printer cause my computer to close when I
Did you have another card in, the unit can only handle one card at a time.
What do you mean by close, did it blue screen, did windows restart, did it white screen, was there an error code, close does not explain what happened.
The printer can handle 6 different types of cards, one thing, its says
SD Cards, now there is a difference between SD and SDHC, some devices can not read SDHC, high captivity is a different format then a SD card. now maybe the printer can't read the card, but I have no clue why windows would shut own or do anything, because windows can handle any card.
Restart both, and make sure there are no cards in it then try the SDHC card again and post exactly what happens, and errors, if it says anything, this will help you getting your problem solved.
Opened door to check on cartridges and the whole
New printer time. Yours is at least 5 years old and inkjets are built to only last 3-4 years. New printers go for about $100. It will cost you at least that much if you can find someone to just llok at your broken one.
No card to insert
Hi there
It looking for a memory right and as you say you not got a card it looking for this because it is trying to save it to the card you will have to look in your printer driver there may be a settings there you need to change and also look on the printer it self in the menu.
The memory card contains more than 2000 photos. The HP Photosmart 7550 printer can only read up to 2000 photos at once.
Save the photos to a computer and access them from there.
The printer thinks it got a card inserted so maybe it worth a try power off the printer and take plug out and leave foe 1 hour then put back on see if it may reset the memory.
Please come back and just gave a vote, it will gave me some satisfaction to know am helping some one so I will keep on helping.
