The 6210 series are famous for broken hinges, plastic and under spring loading. One place has them but at $88 for a set it may be not worth it. See link below if interested. I have one too with same problem.

HiCheck through the paper paths for any obstructions.Remove stuck papers and make sure the paper feed tray is not filled to capacity.Clear any print queues.Disconnect the printer from power and re-connect again.Turn it on and try printing now.Hope it helps.Thanks!

Hi Jim,When you install a new cartridge, be sure not to touch the contacts, and make sure the contacts on the cartridge align with the contacts on the printer, and all packing tape has been removed. If the contacts on the printter are coated with dry ink, you should clean them with a cotton swab and distilled water. Dampen the swab and wipe off the dry ink on the contacts and let it dryt. Also, run the cartridge alignment on the new cartridge. I hope this helps. Let me know if you need further assistance.Randy

Hi, You should have the software or driver disk with your printer, inside the printer box. If you can't find out or lost the disc then you have to download it from web. visit www.hp.com search the driver with the model number of the printer and download it.

is your printer is copying from scanner

Once its showing there is no communication between system & printer. Check with another usb cable...Go to my computer properties # hardware # device manage # highlight any one of the list # action# scan for new hardware.. system will scan for new hardware, if its not found replace formatter....
