Hi all I have an HP color LaserJet 2600n and it does not print any magenta, i have tried swaping out every cartridge, replacing the transfer belt, checking and cleaning the whole printer several times i even managed to get a service manual, anyone have a suggestion on how i can fix this? oh and yes i am using genuine HP supplies, the printer is over 2 years old and was printing just fine up to a month ago.
Following the suggestions above I have just resolved this problem. My exact problem was that the Magenta colour was printing out at different densities across the page - from faint at either side to solid in the middle.
The procedure I followed was to dismantle the printer until I could get at the laser/scanner unit, take that out, and take the top off. I discovered that the mirror for the magenta toner was very dusty so I cleaned it with a cotton bud (dry, no water or solvent for fear of damaging the surface coating of the mirror), taking the opportunity to clean all the others at the same time.
After reassembling, the printer is now perfect again. I did not perform any resets or recalibrations following this operation.
Some comments:
1. Disassembling is a fairly complex job, involving disconnecting most of the loom from the back PCBs. You need to do this to be able to remove the rear internal panel so that you can get at the laser/scanner assembly. Don't worry too much. though, because all the plugs are different sizes so it should be fairly straightforward reassembling it all. It worked out fine for me!
2. The bottom screw for the laser/scanner assembly (in my case, although there are actually holes for two screws) is located behind two thin metal panels which spring out from the bottom of the printer body, just above the paper tray.
3. I think there is a bit of a design flaw in these printers (if it's fair to describe it as such). Two of the mirrors (magenta and yellow) are angled upwards so that dust can collect on them, while the other two are angled down. Of the two that are angled up, the Magenta one is at the bottom and is most likely to collect dust. The laser/scanner assembly is not sealed so it is easy for dust to get into it. Furthermore there is a fan alongside the bottom mirror so there will be more dust in the air in this area. It would not surprise me if this is a fairly common problem for these printers after a certain amount of use.

There is a color shift or "ghost image" on certain colors (it looks like the colours are out of alignment). When printing a color test page the magenta band is shifted to the right. The orange band has a 2mm yellow stripe on the left and a 1mm magenta stripe on the right. The DC Controller firmware is updated: cpr in the beginning and EV = 2F. I had calibrated numerous times and reset back to defaults. Will a firmware update fix this problem? My firmware version is 20050610 but I cannot find where to download the firmware update anywhere on the hp website. I am using genuine HP toner cartridges.
I own a HP 2600n and I had the same problem the way I fixed it was hold both arrow buttons in the turned off the power for 10 seconds while holding the buttons in then turned it back on then released after 3seconds the reset my defaults this cured my problems

Since replacing black cartridge, my printer has consistently been showing 51.22 ERROR, turn off then on. I have turned it off then on, leaving it in between anything from a minute or two to days. It continues to read the same and, of course, doesn't print.
after you replaced the cartrige, did you run a initialization?

I have had my HP for several years, when I set it up, I knew there were several language options on it.
Tonight, either I hit one of the buttons by mistake, or on it's on it is speaking to me in what looks like russian or polish.
Hence, I speak neither. Help. !!!
A. To change the display language back to English, please perform the following steps:
1. Press the right arrow 2 times, press the OK button (you should be in the System Setup menu).
2. Press the OK button again (you should be in Language).
3. Press the right arrow until you see something that may be English, press OK button. The menu is a continuous loop, so if you miss it the first time the option will return.

I have a hp 2605n here and it's showing all the time an error: 50.7. I have already turned off and on again after 30 minutes and the error is still there. Took off the fuser, and putted back, and it's still everything exactly the same.
Please, help me to find out what's going on!
Thank you!
50.7 means that the photo sensor ps6 detected no movement
Open the side of the printer power on the printer and check if the fuser motor moves forward and back. If it does the problem is with the movement sensor or feedback circuitry. If it doesn't its the motor, gear system jamming, motor driver or power supply pcb.

HP CLJ 2600 50.9 FUSER ERROR
The fuser is the part that melts the toner onto the page, the error is thrown by a sensor which monitors the fuser, powering off unplugging and waiting for the fuser to cool (about 25 minutes, dont test it by touching it) before turning back on the printer will fully reset the sensor and may get you going again however this wont fix a fault with the fuser. However the fuser is a consumable which means they can be purchased and fitted by the end user (Not cheap parts), I always recommend that you users buy from the manufacture as they will stand over any item they sell you plus advise on instalation and problems however check prices on-line first and make your own call

HP cp2025 keeps going into |"cleaning" mode - why ?
Printer will print 2 or 3 sheets and then stops - in the menu "cleaning" is displayed and then "Misprint press OK" appears.
Printer then starts printing again and the process repeats itself..
why is this happening ?

Try this:
Turn off the power by using the power

turn on the power and wait for the device to
initialize.
If a surge protector is being used, remove
it. Plug the device directly into the wall

laserjet m602 fuser error 50.22.11
Fuser is not heating. Reseat the fuser, if that does not resolve the issue you will need to replace the fuser.
