Where can I get a windows 10 driver for HP8450 photosmart printer

Most HP drivers are available here: http://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers . Then search for your model. The direct link to the drivers for the Photosmart 8450 is http://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-photosmart-8400-printer-series/402149/model/402151#Z7_3054ICK0K8UDA0AQC11TA930C7 . Select your OS version. The Photosmart 8450 drivers should be found with the new hardware wizard in Windows 10. You'll need to connect the printer to the computer via a USB cable to start. (Make sure that the system is connected to the internet.) I hope this helps. Cindy Wells

HP 1315 printer won't turn on

I have an HP printer too, but it's HP 2050. When i plug it in it usually makes a noise and then the power button blinks. To turn it on requires me to hold the power button down for a few seconds until the power button light stays on. If you haven't tried yet, try pushing down and hold and see if it turns on. Hope this helps :)

Printer Photosmart 8450. Using HP black

Regarding your HP94 black ink cartridge error problem and inability to print to your HP PS 8450 printer, this type of problem is probably an internal micro-electronic failure inside the HP94 ink cartridge. To determine which cartridge is causing the issue and/or to confirm an electrical problem with one of the ink cartridges (or possibly both), perform both the Internal Self-Test page along with the Pen Electrical tests (diagnostics) to evaluate the electrical condition of both ink cartridges.... Please first verify the age of the ink cartridge(s)....look at imprinted date on front (or back) of ink cartridge. If this 'warranty expiration date' has expired, then potential cartridge failures can occur due to internal corrosion, etc. A. Ensure BOTH carriage/flex cables and BOTH ink cartridge contacts are thoroughly clean before proceeding: http://inkjet411.com/?page_id=1519 B. Print Self-Test Page: 1. Press CANCEL and SAVE simultaneously (SAVE is the left-most button before POWER on/off.) 2. Using left/right arrow keys, navigate to 'pen electrical test'. 3. Select Enter to print test - evaluate nozzle test pattern. -- If the printer prints the self test page then this demonstrates the printer is generally functional and that the problem is likely with one of the ink cartridges. Please note this is a 'forced' service test...the printer will attempt to print the test page whether the cartridges are good or bad. If the Self-Test page can be successfully printed but regular/normal printing cannot, then one of the ink cartridges is likely internally damaged. Remove and replace suspect cartridge to confirm. C. Perform Cartridge Diagnostics tests using either C.1 or C.2 procedure below (varies by printer model): C.1. Tap 41/43 Diagnostics Test: 1. To enter the Manufacturing Tests menu, press the 3 small, round buttons on the front panel simultaneously for >5secs: 'OK', 'CANCEL', & 'SELECT PHOTOS' (or 'Print Photos') 2. Using left/right arrow keys, navigate to Special Reports (or System Menu). Select Enter. 3. Navigate to 'print-mech button tap' menu. 4. Select Ok ('code = 0' will be displayed); click and hold Right Arrow until 'code = 41' (or attempt 'code = 43' if nothing prints using '41') is displayed. 5. Select Ok. Within one minute the Tap 41 (or 43) diagnostic test pattern should be initiated and print. Refer to video to help evaluate test pattern. Refer to 2nd video for guidance on how to read the diagnostic test pattern: http://inkjet411.com/?page_id=1741 NOTE 1: A good HP 93/95/97/99 color cartridge should display 600 good nozzles, while a good HP 92/94/96/98 black ink cartridge should show 672 good nozzles. If the results yield anything different then the ink cartridge is likely damaged and will need to be replaced. For reference only, refer to the following HP Deskjet video which shows how to read the HP 93-97 ink cartridge diagnostic test print: http://inkjet411.com/?page_id=1741 (see 2nd video)C.2. Pen Electrical / Error Bypass Procedure: 1. To enter the Manufacturing Tests menu, press the 3 small, round buttons on the front panel simultaneously for >5secs: 'OK', 'CANCEL', & 'SELECT PHOTOS' (or 'Print Photos') 2. Using left/right arrow keys, navigate to Reports Menu (or System Menu). Select 'pen electrical test'. 3. Select Level 1, 2, or 3. Enter to print test - evaluate nozzle electrical test print. NOTE 2: Pen recovery level 1, 2 or 3 clears cartridge errors, unblocking the printer to permit you to print the TEST PAGE with the normal MENU / TOOLS /PRINT TEST PAGE choice to aid in printer evaluation. NOTE 3: Cartridge Error Bypass Message (Emergency Printing only): The Pen Recovery Level 1 clears cartridge errors and permits you to print the TEST PAGE with the normal MENU / TOOLS / PRINT TEST PAGE choice. For additional information on North American ink refill services at a major retailer near you (should you wish to save ~50% on ink costs), general printing problem resolutions or advanced HP printer diagnosis procedures (error bypass/printer reset methods, etc.), please visit Inkjet411: http://www.inkjet411.com

No response from printer. No

Hello.

This error may be related to your ink cartridges. If you are not using HP cartridges or refilled cartridges, try the HP brand.

Try resetting the printer by disconnecting from power source and waiting 2 minutes before reconnecting.

What occurred just prior to problem ? Any changes ? Any other error messages prior to this error ?

Hope this helps.

I am using a stand

The 8450 works with SD cards. While SDHC cards will fit into the slot, they are electronically incompatible and will not work in devices not designed for them. SD cards will work in SD and SDHC devices, but SDHC cards will not work in SD devices.

My memory card keeps saying

- First identify the type of card, some memory card has lock or adapter. - Second, check the condition of the card.
  • Locked switch position
  • Visible discolorations or defects such as crack or nick in the card
  • Missing contacts at the end of the card
  • Deep scratches in the card contacts
  • Heat discoloration on the card
- Next, sure that the file format of the picture is supported by your printer - Then, try to save the file on your computer (If the computer can't read the memory card, the card might be causing the problem, you might contact the manufacturer of the card or replace the card) - If you successfully save the file on the computer, try other device like camera etc. - Format the memory card and try to capture an image and check if the file is corrupted or not. - If an error 'Unsupported Image File' appears, the memory is defective. try replacing the card or contact the manufacturer for further troubleshooting. - If the image displays properly, reinsert the memory to the printer. If the same error appears again, try using another memory card. - If the new memory card has the same issue try the steps provided above. And if the same error appears again after doing the steps call HP support to service your printer.

Hi,

First step is to know the version ( system type ) of your Pc.

Click on START button
Right click on Computer and left Click on Properties
From the New Window Check for System Type : It will be mentioned as 32 bit operating system or 64 bit operating system. ( Remember this )

I assume you have not installed the complete software for your Printer.
Click on the link below to download the drivers for Vista O/s for the printer.
When the page is open - Choose the Operating system and click on Next Button.

Click on Drivers and Product installation option and click on HP Full Feature Software and Drivers
Click on Download button on top and click Save ( Remember the location you save the file )
You need to run the downloaded software.

Disconnect the USB Cable from printer before you start the installation as the screen will prompt you when you connect it.

Download Drivers

Hope this is helpful and will help you in installing the printer software and able to scan as well.

I have loaded a colour

Please try the following:
Remove the cartridges that you just replaced. Ensure that they are compatible with your HP 8450 printer. Make sure that none of the electrical contacts on the printer or cartridges are damaged and that there is no obstruction in the cartridge port. Turn printer main power off, and then back on with the cover closed. If the error code is now gone, open the cover and install the new cartridges as described in the manual. Also, did you remove the protective nozzle covers from the cartridges?
Good luck,

PC sends job to printer, job shows as printing,

Hi there maximum time we found it is a the head problem. The print head is what the cartridges sit in inside of the printer. For resolve the problem please follow these.
Open the printer and wait for the carriage to slide over. Some how if its not come then Unplug the printer & Manually slide the carriage. Now Remove the ink cartridges from the print head & Use wet warm cotton swab or use alcohol to thoroughly clean the print head. Repeat this until there is no ink residue coming off on the cotton swab. After finished it make the head dry then fix it back. Now Try to print something now If that does not work then follow the next step.
Remove the printer data cable & restart the PC & printer. Then fit back the data cable & turn on the printer. Hope that's start working , if no luck then Uninstall the printer driver & restart the PC & Printer both again. Now install the driver of the printer and connect it with PC ,Turn on printer & go for a test print from the printer preference. Thanks & waiting for your reply.

Welcome to Fixya

Check the printer screen for instructions. If you have a digital camera connected to the printer, check the camera screen for instructions. If the printer is connected to a computer, check the computer monitor for instructions. Turn off the printer, then unplug its power cord. Wait about 10 seconds, then plug it in again. Turn on the printer.

Every time I turn on

This is a long shot but have you recently installed new ink? I have seen a lot of people mentioning a similar problem since the newer ink cartridges.
If yes, then print an alignment page and go through the instructions, it shouldnt (fingers crossed) happen again after that. Let me know how you get on :)
