press del and get into bios click optimizes settings then save and exit if still the screen doesn't go further remove the power from the hdd and the ide cable or sata cable and remove all the add on cards and restart the system when you restart you find no boot device connect the ide to the primary ide connector and restart your computer if the page doesn't show no boot device change your ide cable

Wild Tangent makes a lot of little games that probably came
pre-installed on your computer. It usually has an updater (good to
disable that). Use the System Configuration Utility to see what is
starting with Windows and disable it - look for anything connected
with Wild Tangent.

Start>Run>msconfig [enter]

This brings up the System Configuration Utility. Look on the Startup
tab and find the probable culprit. Uncheck the box next to its name,
Apply and OK out.

Restart the PC and the error message should stop.

Alternatively you could go into the control panel and uninstall any game that's associated with Wild Tangent.

old PCs do that, for many reasons. but no PC told at all just HP. 40 years of PCs ,10000 + models nobody can guess ever. but I do have the answer, in pure generic form. did you buy the PC like that used and bad Wifi. ?

1. the wifi card is missing, as was super common 10+ years ago.
2. someone put in the wrong card, not from HP list
3. HP blacklists (bios blocks) none HP cards (wifi)
4. the card needs a driver to work if not it is dead or 1/2 dead.
5. the PC needs 1 more driver to make the wifi buttons all work , all buttons related, if not they are dead or act odd.
6. The OS is infected, no OS told at all, not one clue nor if upgraded the OS, and not vast drivers are wrong or missing, (classic)

bad news now your bricked it just like miillions did google bios update bricked my PC and cry. why are you here and not at HP.com only they can recover bios. they changed the rules now 10 time. so only they know this, and are pain to deal with.
