F17 indicates "insufficient water intake". Try re-seating the tank. If this fails, you'll need to call for service. Perhaps the water lines have become plugged.

Make a mixture of half white vinegar and half water (preferably soft water) 6 to 8 oz and run it through your machine. Let It run part way through with a new filter in place, then shut off the machine and let it sit for a while. The vinegar is dissolving the lime scale. Keep starting and stopping until you have run all the mixture through. Next, run at least 2 full pots of fresh water through to wash out the vinegar.

hmm,,,is there water in the water tank? U need to put water there manually, while descaling. have you tried to switch the machine off and on again? My Miele descales 2 times in a row every time... not sure why. if it won't start descaling process itself, then choose descale from the maintenance list. I really don't know, what else to suggest.
