What does 5AB mean on clock?

Your display is actually reading "SAB". This is an indication of a mode of operation rather than an error code. The following link explains: http://www.fixya.com/support/r3608491-sabb_or_sab_explanation_kitchen_ranges Sabbath Mode is a feature that allows the consumer to disable certain features of the range in order to honor the sabbath. Usually this disables the oven, but allows the consumer to still use the surface burners. You cannot defeat it by unplugging the range or turning off the breaker either. You will either have to wait 72 hours for the mode to clear, or figure out how to turn it off. Somewhere in the owner/operator's manual is a section that refers to "Sabbath Mode". Since all ranges differ in features and operator, you need to refer to the operation section of your owner's manual to find out how to shut the feature off. If the model number you listed this question under is correct, you need to press and hold the CLOCK button for 3 seconds to clear the Sabbath Mode. "Sab" will flash for about 5 seconds, then return to normal display.

I've done this 2 times already

Hi Sally, let me try to help you. The category I am seeing is Amana 30" self-cleaning range. You are having clock setting issues. I need to know the model number to be able to research the issue and get back to you. Please add the model number with a comment on this question. Don't enter a new one as this will confuse others. I will get back to you as quick as I can with either an answer or to let you know what I can or can't find out on the issue.

Where is the fuse in a sr4002?

Generally behind the back panel, some models use a fusible link rather than a glass/wire fuse, un less you know what it looks like you will need a multimeter to check for continuity till you locate it.

Could be the fuse in the back turn off the power and trace the wiring with a multimeter, when you stop getting continuity there is the fuse. Good luck Ray

I have black swirl scratches from using abrasive sponge on front of black oven door

There is this white stuff sold for glass-top stoves. I presume it is good old iron cleaner, a very mild cleaner/polish. Also consider toothpaste.

F4 error

The F4 error means that the oven temperature sensor is giving an open signal. Probably the oven temperature sensor needs to be replaced. However, sometimes, the wiring harness between the sensor and the control unit has a fault or the control unit (computer) is bad. I hope this helps. Cindy Wells

Oven wont turn on but top burners work

You will only need the make and model of the cooktop to order the ignitor. Open the bottom drawer below the oven to find the data plate with model & serial #'s on the front of the oven.

Amana counter top gas stove when plugged in start making clicking noise and you can smell gas .

on most, your push down and turn to hi to open gas valve and turn on piezio to light burner. it sounds like you have a knob already turned on . the control under the knob may need replacing. kinda an easy replacement if you get new part. check out repairclinic.com for video(maybe) but for parts for sure. be careful. gas is explosive.
