Sounds to me that you need to change the all in one toner cartridge. Part number UG-5530

This can be caused by the fuser unit not heating up properly or not working at all.

Just wondering if you've found a solution. I'm trying to do the same thing on our uf-9000. Any help would be appreciated.Panasonic technical support is not good.

Your fuser section is most likely faulty. It is recomended that you take the unit to your nearest service centre as this problem will need the fuser unit to be removed and checked and the machine will most likely need fuser parts to be replaced.

That could very well be the cause of your problem. The wires were assembled as "separated" for a reason. You can test for shorting pretty easily by taking a multimeter or a continuity tester and placing one test lead on a contact on the red wire and another lead on a contact of the white wire and see if you get a reading. If you do, it's shorted and will need to be stripped back and reinsulated or replaced. It's possible that the fuser unit got too hot and melted the two wires together causing them to short, if the wires were in fact that close to the fuser.

Hmm, that is still a fuser error for sure, was that the same error you had before you replaced the fuser assembly? You did replace the fuser itself with the assembly, correct?
