Do you need the size of the RS630PXK range? The range is 30" wide, 31 7/8" high and 22 3/4" deep. The installation opening needs to be larger to allow for air circulation around the range. It needs 120V AC power. The specifications for the size and the installation space size is given in the installation guide. Whirlpool has the guide on their product support page. Here is a disassembly video. A loose knob problem can be tackled by pulling off the knob, encircling the cracked plastic with a zip tie (after putting Loctite glue in the cracks), pulling the zip tight. Don't lose the sleeve when you pull off the knob. Cleaning or replacing the grease filters in downdraft vent hood

Can you get to the switch terminals and try jumping them out with a piece of insulated wire? That would tell you if the switch is defective (my suspicion). Please be careful not to touch any live terminals - only the wire insulation you use for the jumper.

What is the model number?

You didn't mention if it only pops when you first turn them on or that the popping is continuous. If it when you first turn them on, then I would suspect late ignition. Too much gas build-up before ignition takes place. The spark gap may need to be adjusted or the spark module replaced. If it happens continuously there may be a short in one of the switches or wiring harness.
