Keyboard is not working on

Once you have checked the batteries in the keyboard, then push the tiny little button on the side of the computer around the peripheral plug ins. After pushing that, hit the connect button on the wireless device. They should be re-syncd.

If you still have trouble with the keyboard it may be defective.

Key problem sony vaio key board

I've had similar problems and it turns out to be a defective keyboard. You could try blowing out the keyboard with a can of air to see if that helps. Also turn pc off before blowing and turn laptop upside down to see if anything like a staple comes out. Hope this helps. Henry

It is regarding my Logitech MK300 wireless keyboard & mouse combo...

I think you have to use the combo because each has sensor. trying to use just wireless mouse on a laptop might not work because your laptop cannot read the signal from mouse. Now check if both have bluetooth as that may work.

When you press some letters in the keyboard it writes different characters and leters

I'm not sure how to tell you to correct the problem but the same thing happened to me and really messed with my head until I found out that there are several setting for different languages. The keys apparently mean something different from our language. Go in and reset your keyboard . Some have a drop down box that will let you choose your language. I wish I could tell how to correct it but I don't know what kind of computer is. The Control panel should a place about keyboards and let you change it there. Gillight

How to unlock my sony

Accidentally locking your Vaio keyboard can cause typed letters and/or numbers to appear on the screen very slowly, or not at all. The locking function can occur if a user holds down the shift key for more than eight seconds. This feature can be unlocked through the computer's Microsoft Accessibility Options.

1. Click "Start," "Control Panel," "Ease of Access" and "Ease of Access Center."

2. Click "Make the keyboard easier to use." A new window will appear.

3. Remove the check-marks next to "Turn on Mouse Keys," "Turn on "Stick Keys" and "Turn on Filter Keys." This unlocks your keyboard.

4. Click "Apply" to save changes, then "OK" to exit the window.

if you think i misunderstands your problem or you have any other problem you can post again

When I try to type

Chances are you've changed the region on your laptop to another country. Basically, different countries have different layouts for the keyboard, so you need to change yours back to your native country.

To change it back:

1. Control Panel
2. Clock, Language and Region
3. Change Keyboards or other input methods
4. Change Keyboard
5. Select your country / language
6. Ok / close the windows.

This should solve your problem.

Thanks

I'm using a sony vaio

It could be that your hand accidentally hit the touchpad while you were typing, which would have moved the cursor. I've done this a few times before, so I'm fairly certain that's what happened. The cursor won't move on its own unless someone is controlling it, and it's highly unlikely that you have a trojan or a virus that is doing that.

Hope this helps!

Open control panel and the open KEYBOARD. Now you can set the level of timing which can be presetted to your requement.
Check on the links and test the keyboard. If not there are errors in the keypad or the drivers/OS.

Please help. The 789uiopjkl;m./ keys

The number lock feature is enabled. You should see an indicator for the Num Lock (lit when on) that is next to the Caps Lock indicator.

You should be able to disable the lock by pressing Fn and Num Lock together on the keyboard. (On some Sony Vaio keyboards, type CTRL+ALT+NumLock or Shift+NumLock.) The number lock should be at the top of the keyboard near the F1-F12 keys. Sometimes the key is shared with the Scroll Lock function (otherwise it will be nearby). It's really easy for the Number lock to be enabled on some Sony keyboards; just some dirt between the keys can enable it when you didn't turn it on intentionally.

I hope this helps.

Cindy Wells
(I don't have the VGP-WKB1 wireless Sony keyboard and can't find a good picture of it to find the Num Lock key for this model.)

Sony via o my keyboard

Keyboard failures on a laptop are typically a result of a spill or food accidently spilled between the keys. Temporarily you may be able to plug in an external USB keyboard to use the laptop. To repair a keyboard requires partially taking the laptop apart. You may or may not want to do this depending on how you feel about that kind of operation. If you decide you want to do it, here's a link to doing the operation:
http://www.laptoprepair101.com/laptop/2007/08/30/removing-replacing-laptop-keyboard/
Be careful, be gentle and you should have no trouble with it! Best of luck!
