Yes you can but there are safety concerns about doing so as the crock pot doesn't reach the sort of temperature considered safe for cooking turkey. The heating element is on the bottom of the unit and there should not be an issue with that. If the damage came from it being dropped, there is a chance the element got knocked lose.
