Sony DPP-FP50 Thermal Photo Printer - Answered Questions & Fixed issues
Sony DPP-FP50-Colors print in different
Hi,
I was actually a bit surprised that you were able to run it using windows 7. Sony did not release any specific driver designed for windows 7 operating systems and this can cause an issue to printing operations if you have used older drivers. Try running the main printer application on compatibility mode and see if it resolves your issue. Right click on the main application shortcut and click on properties. Go to compatibility tab and choose a lower operating system (e.g. Windows XP service pack 2). Save the changes by clicking on OK and test the printer. If this won't work, I would strongly suggest you uninstall the printer and removed all instances of it in Printers and Devices. Remove all applications associated with it (uninstall). reboot the computer and if the Printer came with an installation CD, used it to setup the printer. Make sure that the printer is plugged off the pc when you run the setup. Plug it only when prompted during the installation procedure. This is important to avoid driver conflicts.
Post here if it works for you or not.
Thanks for using fixya.
Need driver update for Windows 7 - 64 bit. Is there one?
The Sony Support site does not list a driver for either Vista or Windows 7 (neither 32 bit nor 64 bit). If you have Win7 Pro or Ultimate, you can install the XP mode and load the driver for this printer on to that virtual machine.
I hope this helps.

TROUBLE PRINTING
These are following cases for this symptom.
If the access indicator flashes in green:
The data size of the image is large and it takes longer to process it
for printing. Printing will start as soon as the data processing
finishes.
If the paper error indicator flashes on the LCD:
The paper is jammed. Turn off the printer and turn it on again, take
out the paper tray, and then remove the jammed paper from the paper
outlet. If you cannot remove the jammed paper, consult with your Sony
dealer or service facility.
If no indicator is lit or flashing:
The thermal head may be overheated. Leave the printer until the head cools down and the printer resumes printing.
Printing problem
you may have a faulty Thermal element, sounds like a cold spot in the middle of the print head is messing up your photo.
If this is in warranty or is new get them to replace it
Lamp/cover button blinking red, how can I solve my Sony projector?
The blinking red lamp/cover button on your Sony projector typically indicates an issue with the lamp or the projector's internal temperature. Here are a few steps you can take to try to resolve the issue:
- Check the lamp cover: Make sure that the lamp cover is properly closed and secured. If the cover is not properly closed, the projector may not turn on or may turn off after a short time.
- Check the lamp: If the lamp cover is properly closed, the next step is to check the lamp itself. Remove the lamp and check it for any visible signs of damage, such as cracks or discoloration. If the lamp appears to be in good condition, try reseating it to ensure it is properly installed. If you have access to a replacement lamp, try installing it to see if the problem is resolved.
- Check the projector's air vents: Ensure that the projector's air vents are not blocked or obstructed, as this can cause the projector to overheat and shut down. Make sure that the projector is placed in a well-ventilated area.
- Reset the projector: Try resetting the projector by turning it off and unplugging it from the power source for several minutes. Then, plug it back in and try turning it on again.
- Consult the user manual: If none of the above steps solve the issue, consult the user manual for your Sony projector for further troubleshooting steps or contact Sony's customer support for further assistance.
If the issue persists, it may indicate a more serious internal problem with the projector that may require professional repair.

Sony projector vpl-ex145 light ok, but no lable information
If your Sony projector (model VPL-EX145) has a light that is functioning properly but is not displaying any label information, there could be a few different issues causing the problem. Here are a few things you can try to troubleshoot the issue:
- Check the projector's connections: Make sure the projector is properly connected to the computer or device that is sending the video signal, and that the connections are secure. If the projector is not properly connected or the connections are loose, it can cause the projector to display a blank screen.
- Check the projector's settings: Make sure the projector's settings are properly configured for the type of video signal you are using. If the settings are not correctly configured, it can cause the projector to display a blank screen.
- Check the source device: Make sure the device that is sending the video signal (such as a computer or DVD player) is functioning properly and that it is properly configured. If the device is not functioning properly or is not properly configured, it can cause the projector to display a blank screen.
- Check for any other visible issues: Inspect the projector and its components for any visible issues that may be causing the problem. This can include debris or foreign objects that may have gotten stuck in the projector, or damage to the projector or its components.
If you have tried these troubleshooting steps and the problem persists, it may be necessary to have the projector serviced by a professional. A technician will be able to diagnose the problem and determine the necessary repairs.

Touch screen not working for sony snaplab up-CR20l
Hi,
Please turn off your device, clean the screen and power on the device before using it again. Otherwise, you might verify that you're using the device in an environment of moderate temperature. If still not working, then you might need to run a factory reset on the device.
Thank you.
