Bonnie, the spray arm itself will have a tower that extends upward. On the lower rack in the center will be a tower protector and the upper rack should have a water diffuser in the middle. The protecter and diffuser will clip on to the center of the racks. Hope this gets you going..

If you just replaced the garbage disposal, the line to the dishwasher has disc that needs to be knocked out with a screwdriver; otherwise the line is stopped up.
