Hi Carol,

It seems that the function key (Fn) on the bottom left of the keyboard is stuck or jam. Try hitting the key multiple times or raise it with your fingers. Then try to press I and O again. Below the is image of the key you need to press and clear the jam from. You can also pat the keyboard/ laptop from at the bottom in case the jam wont clear by pressing the key.

Press CTRL on the keyboard and scroll up using the wheel on the mouse.

Note: This increases font on all websites, you cannot change or increase font specifically for one website.

This is an indication that your keyboard is going to be out of order in some time.

All you need to do is to get the keyboard replaced if it's under warranty or follow the procedure below to check if it works.

1. Open your keyboard , (Only if it's not under warranty) and then with a soft cloth clean the circuit present inside , you can use liquid like petrol for good cleaning.
2. Once you have cleaned it , close your keyboard and then , check if it works fine.
3. If the problem persists , either get a new keyboard , or get a replacement , if the keyboard is still under warranty.

In regards to your problem you might want to try some of this steps

1. Check the keyboard cable, try to reconnect the cable and check if any message will pop up to verify
the keyboards connection
> you can restart the Pc then check again once it booted up
2. Be sure the numlock is on
3. Check if your PC detects your keyboard by checking it on Control Panel
> Click Start
> Choose Control Panel
> Go to Device Manager, then check if your keyboard if present
4. If this steps didn't work then you might need to replace your keyboard. ^_^

1. Check if the 'Z' key has got stuck within so that its getting pressed continuously. 2. If so, life it up using any appropriate tool and try restarting your machine. 3. connect any external keyboard and try if the same problem continues. 3. If still problem continues then the probability of having a hardware defect is more and I would suggest you to have a service professional to fix it.

No sir,wireless keyboards of acer,logitech does not have any indicators to show if caps lock is on or not,i myself is using a wireless keyboard so i am sure about it that it does not have any indicators

Being Canadian I can assure you that the @ symbol is produced by holding down the shift key and pressing the number 2. This keyboard may have a different setup, or you may need to change your language settings on your computer from Start>Control Panel.
Alternatively, you can open a virtual keyboard from Start>Programs>accessories>accessibilty>virtual keyboard

please check for a the ( Fn) key which is found next to the left side ctrl marked by a blue colour. cleck to see if this is jammed as only by holding the fn key down will the alphabets change to numerical. If the fault is persisting again open your keyboards settings and check for default settings. Also try to reinstall the drivers or else restore you computer to an earlier good restore point by clicking on control panel, select back up /restore. I hope this clears your fault. Good day.

It appears to be in it's standard location. Hold shift and press 3.
Also, if you are running on Windows, you can hold the Alt button and press 3, and then 5 (Alt+35).

Sounds like one of the Shift keys is sticking... press it quickly several times and see if it helps.

Do you mean keyboard shortcut for the "Degree" sign?

You can produce the "Degree" sign by doing the following:

• Press and hold the "Alt" button then while holding, press the numbers 0176 then release the "Alt" button. (Alt+0176)

To turn on your wireless internet connection theres sometimes a little switch on the side of the laptop or theres a keyboard button where you need to press the "FN" button down by the CTRL button and another button usually one of the "F" keys.

you might need to press the key just to the right of the spacebar to access the third character

1 first try with another KB, if it works. problem sure wth your KB.
2. clean your KB and try again, prob may be dust

I beleive you have to hold down the Fn key (you'll notice some symbols have a different color, that color should be the same as the color of the Fn key)

See the space bar? Now go two keys to the right and one key up. If you hold down "Shift" and press that key, you'll get a question mark. Hope this helps!

iam service engineer ( computers, laptops, printers ,etc) - bangalore - domlur - 09986222774 - [email protected] - since laptop's key board is not easily available in shops ...for my customers (in bangalore) i was solving ''damaged key'' problem by removing (cutting) those keys from another laptop's keyboard & pasting it in customer's laptop's keyboard - ( lot of alterations have to be done ) - only experts can do it - it will take 1 or 2 days to fix it - if you are in bangalore you can call me .......ALTERNATE SOLUTIONS -- (1) search google & find whether your model (laptop) ' s keyboard is available ...if yes then buy it online ....in few days you will get it ....if you can fix it ....it is ok or else take to nearby service centre ..they will fix it (2) OR you can contact acer service centre - MEANWHILE you can connect external keyboard to your laptop & keep using it .................
