if you hit just the prtsc sysrq button and open up a blank paint document, you can paste an entire screenshot into a picture document. if you hit control alt prtsc (It's short for print screen) you can take a screenshot of just the current window.

Sounds as though you have changed it to a US keyboard by accident. Go into Control Panel and Check in Regional & Language Settings for Keyboard.

sir check the flecks of your keyboard...

Check the language set up. Also check that the keyboard type is properly set. Over the years I have seen a defective keyboard do some erratic behavior. Jerry G.

Try holding down the function key and hitting the numlock or scroll lock key, this is usually how you engage or disengage the laptops function keys on the keyboard . Most laptops have a light that will turn on and off when you do this, indicating that the funtion keys are in use.

The touch freeze fix from microsft seemed to work for my cursor jumping issues. Thanks for the link for this fix. Makes typing on this laptop easy and enjoyable again.

i think a hardware failure,open it and clean it.maybe then it works?

you have checked the power supply etc.....its not uncommon for power supplys to burn out ..you can usually check whether it is working quite easy have you any friends that have the same model/make laptop as you that maybe you can test that theory... good luck with that though

Could have dirt or crumbs under keys turn up side down shake it ,tap sides to loosen any thing ,blow with caned air, lmk scott...

The tab key is set in your word processing program. For example in MS Word you will see tab marks at the top of the page. You can click and drag these tabs to a different location. If you have already typed up a document, you will need to select the entire document for you changes to your tab stops to take affect thru the entire document.

HelloThe assainged key for 'hash" is "SHIFT - 3" If it showas any other symbol than this, the inside membrane of the keyboard is faulty. You should contact the deler or Acer service center to make it right. OK.Here is it. I'm going to print a hash symbol here by holding down the Shift Key and the press the Digit key (3)########## #############################################
