Check to see if the heat element in the bottom inside is all crusty or cracked, if so replace, if not, unplug unit from house current, pull bottom toe panel off, you should see where heat element comes thru cabinet and has two wires attached, remove wires, take ohm meter and check for reading, if reading is ok then you either have bad control timer circuit (main board) or blown thermal fuse. Call tech to check further if you do not have original tech sheet or electrical background. My bet is that you have a bad heat element.

Does not appear to be heating up

Hi Deb the most obvious initial solution would be to check that the wiring which feeds the element is still connected and has broken off or worked loose due to usage, make sure the machine is balanced correctly also to prevent this occurring again if it is the problem, the other possibility initially would be to have the element checked in case it has burned out as its a Zanussi either one of these is a strong possibility as they are very well made

No hot water

The hot water in the dish washer is supplied by the hot water heat in your house,The element is only for drying.

Please check that you have hot water at the kitchen sink.

Also, this a new install, replacement or has it been there for some time and was previously working with hot water?

The water wont heat in the dishwasher

Hi, well i think you might have your hands full here! You could be looking at a couple of faults with this. If it wasnt heating then the first p[lace to look is defently the heater and components first! But you should also check that it is filling up to the correct level to or other wise it might not switch the heater on! I know that zanussi have some problems with the sump operated pressure switches which allow the correct amount of water in before it starts to heat, so maybe look at this first. Most of the sumps can be cleaned out easy but some need a replacement sump to be fitted.

Dishwasher zanussi zsf 6128

Hi,

Either it's not getting enough water to flip over to the next part of it's cycle (unlikely) or the water float gauge is not working properly.

When the dishwasher is cool, look for the float inside the dishwasher --usually a small plastic dome or cylinder mounted inside at the tub's base, near the front. When you move most types of floats up and down, you can hear them click because they trip a lever (they are spring loaded). Lift out the float mechanism and clean around the float tube; many floats must be disconnected from below--to do this you'll have to remove the lower access panel. Rinse off the float, then replace it in the tube and be sure it moves up and down freely.

If you're experienced with minor repair work shut off the hot water valve to the appliance. Locate the water intake valve, behind the dishwasher's bottom front panel, disassemble the valve to reveal the screen, clean debris from the screen, and reassemble. If the screen doesn't appear to be blocked, call a repairperson (they will probably need to replace the water intake valve).

If none of this helps, call a repair person. Any of several parts, including water inlet valve, pressure switch, and the timer or selector switch, may be faulty.

Problems! zanussi zsf6120

You can check the heating element with an ohmmeter and it should read a few hundred ohms. Don't know about the thermostat but it should be inline electrically with the heating element and should ohm as a short when cold.

Dishwasher doesn't run
If you turn on the dishwasher and nothing happens:

1) Be sure the power is on, the door is latched, and the control is turned on. Also make sure the appliance cord is plugged into the electrical receptacle under the sink (some are hardwired and don't come unplugged).

2) If that doesn't solve the problem, the door switch, the timer, or the selector switch may be defective. To solve the problem, you may be able to adjust the door latch's strike slightly, using a screwdriver (turn off the power to the dishwasher at the electrical panel when working on it).

3) If that doesn't work, call an appliance repairperson.

Washing powder door broken

The door is usually opened by a solenoid that is actuated by the timer. Sometimes, the solenoid becomes stuck in the open position. If so, you may be able to see the opening. You can try banging on the door near the latch with something relatively soft sometimes to free it but usually the door must be disassembled to repair it if it's an electrical failure.

Water will not fill into dishwasher

hi, it could be the inlet valve. This is usually what the hose fits to on the outside of the machine, and on the inside is the valve. MAKE SURE THE POWER IS OFF BEFORE you take the wires off the valve, then check for a reading on a ohms meter.ACROSS THE TWO TAGS, If no reading on the meter, the valve is gone. Regards, Tom.

Zanussi ZDF26001XA code .30 anti flood device. how do i fix it without calling a mechanic?

Under the base of the machine, above the floor there is a tray with a sensor in it and that is what triggers the Flood Error Code. So the machine needs to come out, the back or side panel removed and the tray thoroughly dried. You also need to find where that water came from. If the salt container is in the base, it may be leaking if you were breaking up the salt.
