Where is the heating element on a zanussi de6850
remove RHS panel and you will see it bottom right. looks like a round cylinder with wires going into it.
if not heating worth looking at main board as wel for a broken solder joint on heater relay. bit of solder will sort this
Zanussi DE6850 doesn't start. switches on and then not a sound?
Hi
Thanks for using FixYa. You’ll need to check the following things--
1. Fuse (blown or tripped).
2. Check the wire fasteners at
dishwasher junction box.
3. Electronic control board.
4. Motor (inoperative, check
resistances).
5. Door switch (open contacts).
6. Door latch not making contact
with door switch.
7. Touch pad circuit defective.
8. No indicator lamps illuminate
when START or OPTIONS is depressed.
Please do accept the solution if the issue is
resolved or post a comment for further assistance.
Thanks
Rylee
I have a Zanussi DE6850 free-standing dishwasher.
Hello,
You seem to have a blockage, have you checked the filters lately. Also check the drain hose and the pipe that the drain hose goes into,if they are clear then the blockage is down in the bottom of the dishwasher in the pipes or the drain pump.
Hope this helps.
Fault code f18
Unplug the appliance first.
If
it's a freestanding appliance, pull it out and tip it rearward about 45
degrees.
Drain the water out the rear corners and then the anti
flood will reset itself.
If it's integrated, take off the
inspection panel below the door and use a sponge to remove the water
from the base.
Once empty, switch back on and try the
machine again.
Does Not heat up
Dissconnect from mains, check the control unit by removing the front panel, six screws ease off the panal, you will see unit control unit directly behind cycle selection buttons identify each connection and remove unit it's just held with friction fit clips once out pull out the 2 clips on either side and it will open like a book you will se 2 circuit boards ease out the one with the relay, transistor etc mounted flip it over and you will see where it has flashed solder connection reassemble, start dishwasher.

Water not getting hot
Start checking the element. (assuming you have a tester). If reading is good,(approx. 20-40 ohms).then check for a reset switch. Normall a red push to resed button or if there is continuity.. From there it can only be the board which outputs the heater voltage.
ZANUSSI DE6855 DISHWASHER - NO HEAT FOR WASHING OR DRYING
Make sure you unplug before you start. I had the same problem with a DE6850. The heater was ok. Metered at 25.ohms. Apparently, the relay on the control board mounted in the front door behind the switches is a common fault. Remove the screws around the top part of the door and you will be able to get at the control module. Resolder the connection. Zanussi reliability has been lost. Noel P
Electrolux de 6850 dishwasher
Hi,
I followed some of the good instructions already on Fixya. I had checked the heater and it was o.k. I then took the front door of the washer apart to get at the control box. Sure enough, I also had the common design fault. One leg of the rely had scorch marks and was now disconnected from the circuit board. I will solder tonight and test. I include a photo of the burned board. TNoel P
Wont heat or dry
hi have you tried thermostat i repaired on last week same fault
Zanussi de 6850
I've just had similar - seems to be a problem in the controller module - they're reasonably inexpensive online.
Undo the top-part of the door, about 5 screws across the top and side - the top section pops out, and the control module is now on the inside - if you free off the connectors (not too simple, but doable) you'll probably find some scorch marks on the PCB ... hopefully the wiring isn't damaged, and you can just replace the PCB ...
If you also have wiring damage, well, trace back and replace as required
(probably too late for the OP, but worth recording in any case)
