Hello,
You seem to have a blockage,have you checked the filters lately.Also check the drain hose and the pipe that the drain hose goes into,if they are clear then the blockage is down in the bottom of the dishwasher in the pipes or the drain pump.

there is an intermittant break in the circuit leading to the heater element or at the element. have it checked by a pro..

Unplug the appliance first.

If it's a freestanding appliance, pull it out and tip it rearward about 45 degrees.
Drain the water out the rear corners and then the anti flood will reset itself.

If it's integrated, take off the inspection panel below the door and use a sponge to remove the water from the base.

Once empty, switch back on and try the machine again.

it is the float switch in the base of the unit, which registers a water leak. you are probably using too much detergent and it is overflowing into the base.

Dissconnect from mains,check the control unit by removing the front panel, six screws ease off the panal,you will see unit control unit directly behind cycle selection buttons identify each connection and remove unit it's just held with friction fit clips once out pull out the 2 clips on either side and it will open like a book you will se 2 circuit boards ease out the one with the relay, transistor etc mounted flip it over and you will see where it has flashed solder connection reassemble, start dishwasher.

Start checking the element. (assuming you have a tester).If reading is good,(approx. 20-40 ohms).then check for a reset switch. Normall a red push to resed button or if there is continuity.. From there it can only be the board which outputs the heater voltage.

Replaced Circuit board. Circuit board was burnt out. New one costs around £80 - £100.

I followed some of the good instructions already on Fixya. I had checked the heater and it was o.k. I then took the front door of the washer apart to get at the control box. Sure enough, I also had the common design fault. One leg of the rely had scorch marks and was now disconnected from the circuit board. I will solder tonight and test. I include a photo of the burned board. TNoel P

Had the same problem on a Miele mashing. In my case trying to clear a drain blockage in a kitchen sink had probably forced water back into the washing machine and caused an internal leakage. Rather than remove the whole machine and tip it over, I opened the small panel at the front bottom (behind the skirting panel) (needs 'special' screwdriver for the 2 screws) and removed the water that was lying on the base of the machine. Not much (less than 5mm) but enough to lift the white polystyrene float (a round disc about 10cm diameter) which was activating the micro-switch and causing the F70 message.

most probably the pcb unit...had a few of these changed pcb and cured fault, not a job for a novice to be honest, think the parts is about £70-80 from memory.. ally

I have the same problem if you take off the tray below the front door and set a small blow heater in there it will dry the out the anti flood switch. It usally takes about 25 mins for the machine to start working again.

If it is new, it is under warranty and if you try to fix it, it will void the warranty. The water in the flood tray comes from the machine itself, normally from hoses or on an older machine pump seals. Under the base of the machine, above the floor there is a tray with a sensor in it and that is what triggers the Flood Error Code. So the machine needs to come out, the back or side panel removed and the tray thoroughly dried. You also need to find where that water came from. If the salt container is in the base, it may be leaking if you were breaking up the salt.
