Zanussi f1045w brushes access problem

Hello,
Yes you can lay the machine on its back and depending on the type of motor you will need either a posidrive screwdriver or a small 5.5 socket. You will need a torch to locate the brushes which are at the rear of the motor be careful as not to lose the screws in the motor when removing or replacing sometimes a bit of bluetac on the tool you are using can help to hold the screws.Be careful with the new carbons on the brushes as they can break easily, take note as you remove the old ones and locate the new ones onto the pegs and replace the cables.I am not sure of the plate you are talking about. If you have problems then it may be easier for you to remove the motor but you will have to split the body of the machine

What function does the golfball size plastic ball

If that ball is in that location I would assume its being used as a means of back flow prevention to prevent dirty water from backing up into your drum. You can try removing it and see what happens, but the things you need to consider are, 1. Does the ball have a hole through it. If so, its not a means of back flow prevention and definitely needs to stay in there. And does the ball move freely back and forth in the tube because the machine may also be using it as some means of pressure regulation. Either way I wouldn't recommend taking it out unless its harming something because the manufacturer put it there for a reason.

Machine not emptying or spinning.

Hello there: Please check out the solutions that i have provided below and please don't forget to rate the solutions I have provided for you Best regards Mike It doesn't spin If your washer won't spin, check these: It doesn't pump or spin It pumps, but doesn't spin It spins only with the lid closed It doesn't pump or spin If it doesn't pump water out or spin, check to see if the motor is running, then proceed as follows: If the motor is running, your washer probably has a frozen pump pulley or a broken pump belt. To check the pulley, remove the pump from the washer and try to rotate the pulley manually. If it doesn't turn freely--if it's frozen or stiff--replace it. If the pump belt is broken or looks quite worn, replace it--but be sure to check the pump pulley before you change the belt. If the motor isn't running, the lid switch may be defective. If so, the washing machine can't spin and may not function at all. The switch is inside the washing machine main housing near the door frame. Often you have to raise or open the top or front of the washing machine to get to the switch. If it's defective, you need to replace it.

Noisey drum, can bearings be replaced on zanussi zwf 1421 w

Yes they can. Search for a service manual for instructions, on the net. Parts are not usually exspensive, Repairmen are. I did mine in less than an hour.

Machine will not drain

Hi..

If your machine does not drain you need to check this

  • Inspect the drain hose for kinks
  • Test the timer control
  • Test the lid switch (some models)
  • Inspect the water pump
  • Inspect the drive belt (belt drive only)
  • Inspect the motor coupler
Before testing the lid switch, unplug the washer or shut off the power at the fuse box or breaker panel to avoid an electrical shock hazard.

Regards

My clothes are coming out smeeling musty

I have a zwf1241w with similar problem. When I disconnected the drain hose that runs from the drum casing to the pump housing there was a lot of collected debris that had prevented the water from draining through properly. You could try clearing this out.

I believe that I have a wood screw which has got

If the screw is small enough to move around between the drum and the outer casing then the best way is to physically lift the complete machine and tilt it towards the drain hole in the tub, this will get the screw down into the pump area or hoses where you can remove the hose clips and hopefully the screw. To find out where the drain hole is remove the back cover and follow the pipe work onto the drum casing. If the screw is jammed then you will have to remove the drum from the casing completely. Good luck, let me know how you get on

My zanussi f1045w is grinding when spinning what

Hi there.....the problem could be ...(a) something traped between the inner and outer drum....usually a bra wire....(b) Debri in the drain pump can result in grinding noise...(c) CRACKED inner drum spider unit..and or failed main bearings..test for this by opening the door with appliance switched off place your hand at outter edge of inner drum and test for lift in drum..there should'nt be any lift at all
