Increasing BTU means that the size of some parts are goiing to change, the heat exchanger or the evaporator is going to be bigger. The issue is whether or not there is enough room. They dont post sizes and you will have to contact Coleman or a representative of them .

Air conditioners are SUPPOSED to make condensation. Lots of water means lots of good air conditioning :-)

Did you check power and gas? Did you check air filter? Is the venter motor coming on? Is blower motor coming on? Is there any blinking lights on board. What is M# S# of unit

Overheating fan motor?

See that the capacitor is matching size for that motor.
Check the motor rated and supply volts are within 10% of each other.
Check the motor amps.
Fan motor cools with airflow, is there airflow restriction?

What is the M# S# of the furnace, thermostat and A/C condenser? That will help me id what kind of system you have. But on smaller systems the thermostat calls for the contactor or relay in the condenser to turn on a/c
