Coleman Dc 12 Volt Inflate-all Pump - Page 6 Questions & Answers
I have a coleman model dgat075bdf furnance flashing 4 times. It says it's a limit switch how do I figure out which one
First you have to have a volt ohm meter.
next you touch your leads to each switch with the power on. When you come to a switch that gives you a reading that's the open one. Sometimes there is a Manuel reset which will be a stem sticking out of the center of the switch, press it in. If this switch is by the flue, keep an eye on it. This is a high temperature switch in any case. If it is a lower one by the flamewatch the flame as it burns. Any fluctuation in flame could mean a gas pressure problem, a flue tripping switch could be anything from wasps nest in top of flue to a flue that has come apart. Once you find out which one of the switches is open watch it very carefully, especially how it senses over temp. After watching it, if it happens again calling a local service shop is my recommendation. Because there are too many variables than can cause one of these to trip.
