Asus will not fire up
Check to make sure it isnt a problem with other compunents in your system (specifically power supply) If no other issue is found it sounds like you an overcharged capacitor or a short to an integral part of the board. unless you have the expertise or tools to pinpoint where the error has occurred this will be a hard fix. If the board is still under warranty I would advise getting in contact with Asus themselves to see about getting a new board sent your direction.

Plus de son impossible installer
Essayer d'installer toute les service pack. Parceque normalement si l'installation s'arrette sa veut dire que le pilote n'est pas compatible.
My CD and DVD drives have disappeared
There is not much that can go wrong with the drives. My suggestion is that probably you have something wrong with the power supply. Power supplies are multivoltage and if one should not work, then you could lose it from the list of installed tiems. How is the Hard Disk doing? Do you get good performance, memory and communications? After the voltages and connections on the power supply, please, even though they are re-chargeable and there is no reason to need replacement, check and verufy that the Mother Board Clock Battery has its specified voltage, which is 3VDC. I suggest you go to a Hardware store and buy a cheap (but good) DVOM (Digital Volt Ohm Milliammeter). You will use it to check all the voltages, as we said, plus you will have it handy to check and/or verify other voltages, connections and other tests. The last time I bought a very good one for US $ 3.95 (I believe now they go for about US $ 9.99. Question: in case you need more help from us, do you have separate CD and DVD drives? Because once you have the DVD you don't need the CD. Please, if you need any more help from us, give us the following Information: (1) The manufactuer's Name and Trade Name of the computer; (2) The Model Name and Number; (3) The identification number of the Mother Board. If you have trouble finding it, we will gladly help you. It is very important for our diagnosis. (4) A detailed accurate report of how the problem came into being, before the failure, during the failure and after it. WE need all the details you can think off. Something that you consider unimportant, may be the key to our solution. We thank you for considering our service. CONSTANTIN (arzconst)
Beeps
Depending on the beep code it could be saying there is a RAM problem or a video card problem. Check video card first & see if reseating it corrects the problem. If not try reseating the RAM. Also make sure the RAM installed is compatible with the board you are using. Have you upgraded the cpu? If so you may have used an incompatible chip or do not have it fully seated. These are the first things to check. Hope this helps.
PS/2 mouse port not working?
Hello
fredbeer,
Besides the obvious checking with your device manager, you can download a port test kit
HERE. That will be able to test if it's working. The other thing you can do is switch the keyboard into the mouse port and the mouse into the keyboard port. You should get some errors, if not, one of them will work and the other won't. Hopefully, you'll get the keyboard in the mouse port to work, so you know the port is working. Also, if you have any other PS2 devices that you can test it with.
Good Luck and don't forget to leave a rating based on my solution.
Thanks
Mark
