The BIOS does not register the SATA III drive on

Hi, you can download and renew the drivers from here:

http://support.asus.com/Download.aspx?SLanguage=en&m=A7N8X-E%20Deluxe&p=1&os=

Download a manual first and check the bios settings.
Click on global for download.
Unzip the file after you have downloaded it.

The second harddrive has to be configured as slave with the jumpers
on the drive.
Check the jumpers before you continue.
Your operating system must have at least service pack 2.
Maybe you have to upgrade the bios to the latest version.
Make sure its the right bios or you will destroy the mainboard.

My problem is the computer restarts agan soon

Download a program called dban. http://www.dban.org/download and mount it on a disc with another computer. Place the disk in your computer and reboot. While loading look for the boot menu option and push the button. If you missed it reboot again. When the boot menu comes up select cd-rom drive or dvd-rom drive. The program should start up. Follow the directions on the screen by typing in autonuke. The program might run for a long time(probably overnight). After it is complete. Reboot you computer, take out the disc and reboot with your original XP Pro disc. Hope this helps.

Emachines T3410 won't boot, black screen, no cursor

I had this same problem, none of the posters above have no clue what there talking about. With the K8M51gc MB, if the dust builds and then the system heats, it can and will blow a cap. Nothing you can do will make the board work again without replacing the cap and there are too many to test on the board and need an experienced tech to fix this problem as soldering the components are extremely small. Your best bet is to get another board from ebay and not emachines or gateway. Their site will charge $150 bucks when you can get it for $75 on ebay. You can also use a board from the T3304 as its the same system basically. It sucks I know but this would be your best bet as I had to go through this myself. If you decide to change out the board, run more fans in the system and use screens in place of the fan to prevent dust. Once every other month, use a can of air to blow out any dust on the board as duct can conduct electric through the board. Hope this helps...

The MB do not start

A7N8X-E has a award bios chip on it. are you getting a beep code when you try and post / power on the system.

some common errors.

long beeps or continuous beeps can be a memory error

i suggest reinserting the memory modules make sure they are inserted correctly.

one long beep followed by two or three beeps relates to a video card error

for this i would suggest reseating the graphics card make sure its sitting in the slot correctly.

if you can see bulging or leaking caps on the motherboard i would look into buying a new socket A motherboard it will only cost you around £50 and you then have a years warrenty

i hope this helps !

W3507motherboard front panel connections

The manual is Here:
http://dlcdnet.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/socka/nforce2/a7n8x-e/e1876_a7n8x-e_deluxe.pdf

However, wires to the case are specified by the case maker (you did not specify). Just about all of them mark the connectors on the wire ends with their functions. Just match with the manual's jumper description.

Asus a7n8x-x motherboard monitor will not fire up.{monitor}light just keeps blinking no picture. any takers?

Ensure that the AGP video card is seated all the way -that is a common problem with AGP cards. If you suspect the video card then try to find a PCI video card if you don't have another AGP card. This is the most direct way of isolating this problem. Best of luck to you, Steve Medley

E-Machine Mother Board Connections

Find the company, and name of the board, and look that up. Computer manufacturers could use any number of different boards. You need the specific manual to that board. The manual should explain where the connections go. Sounds like you have the LED HD and POWER ON LED disconnected.
