Hello try to download the manual here:
http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/Intel_Socket_478/P4P800MX/#downloadPlease select your windows system.Next open the manual folder, and click on global for download. You will need adobe reader, to read the content. The problem could be the power supply failing, or bad capasitors on the mainboard:
If the problem did not occur before the power outrage, i suspect the power supply failing. If you change the power supply, take antistatic precautions when working on the mainboard.Good luck

Connecting a second hard drive
Mount the drive in the case and plug in the power and SATA (or IDE) connectors. You may need to purchase the SATA or IDE cables. There has got to be a YouTube Video for doing this. I am so certain that I am not even going to check that before posting this. It might not be specific to that exact mainboard but YouTube has everything!
ASUS P4P800-MX stopped recognizing drives
Test your PSU or replace it if your power supply units fan is not working your PSU is faulty
Test all leads that attach to your hard drive including electrical extensions IDE,SATA
the leads from your MOTHERBOARD TO YOUR HARD DRIVE make sure they have a secure connection and are not faulty or just replace them they could be faulty
make sure all leads that are attached to your drives dvd\cd 3 1/2 inch floppy have secure connections and are not faulty even the electrical extensions or just replace them they could be faulty a computer needs its connections to continue its cycle and have an end so any faulty leads will end up with a computer error
even something as small as a faulty electrical extension or fan lead can cause you problems
computers need all of the data and electrical current to travel through every working device and to have an end to be able work properly
make sure ram modules and cmos batteries have dust free secure seatings and cmos battery has charge some motherboards cmos batteries are soldered in
motherboard and a hard drive any leads between them will fail before your motherboard or your hard drive if its a flat ribbon 40 pin type IDE replace it this will be the first to fail
check all electrical power input and extensions make sure they are securely seated even the cd/dvd floppy drives need to have current go through make sure these drives are working
check you CPU make sure its securely seated and has thermal grease
hope this helps

Usb port can't work
Hi,There are basically 2 reasons why USB ports will not work besides being faulty.1. The drivers are not installed (inf files)2. The ports on certain motherboards can be disabled in the CMOS or BIOS setup. To check if the USB drivers are installed you can open control panel>device manager. Scroll down to "Universal serial bus controllers and make certain these are present and installed correctly. Also make sure your USB device is functioning properly by plugging in to a USB port on a different computer. Please let me know if you need any further assistance.Best wishes,Graemevm
Graphics card for asus p4p800-mx
Hello there, I will be your technician today. My name is Norman-Wynne Damstra.Welcome to Fixya! On the rear of the mainboard, called the Input/Output or I/O you will find a blue VGA port, this is your on-board graphics adaptor/graphics card. Therefore you may use this port to connect your monitor to.Alternatively if you are looking for a graphics card to fit your computer mainboard, you will need to install one that uses the PCI slot. That is the White slot. You may install the graphics card in any of the three available PCI slots. You could contact your computer store and ask them if they have a PCI graphics card, or search E-bay or the like for a PCI graphics card. Brands by Nvidia or AMD/ATI radeon will work. A Nvidia Geforce 5200 or 5500 may do the trick, usually 128mb versions.Take care!Norman-Wynne Damstra
Twice beep sound is coming.
Hello !
If you check out ASUS support, you will find this troubleshooter for the motherboard not booting :
1. Please clear CMOS.
2. Please take out your memory cards and video card, try to clean their golden connectors with a rubber, then reseat them back.
3. Please take the CPU cooler out, add
some thermal paste to the CPU surface, then reseat the cooler back and
keep the cooler tightly installed.
4. Please keep the necessary components(CPU, one memory) onboard for a test.
Finally, we would recommend you to replace a BIOS battery to have a test.
Also, by looking over beep codes I have found for AMI BIOS these problems for the 2 short beeps :
1. Memory parity error (Description : A memory parity error has occured in the first 64 KB of RAM. The RAM IC is probably bad).
2. POST fail (Description : One of the hardware tests
have failed).
If you have done those and it still doesn't boot, let me know I'll try to find other solutions.
All the best !
