IF you can connect to the internet, you'll need to go to the Averatec support site and look up the driver downloads page for your laptop model and operating system. The link below should take you to a page (not Averatec's) that also has the drivers you need.

Download and install the Chipset drivers, as well as the drivers listed for Audio, Video, USB, and Network. It would be a good ideal to download ALL drivers listed for your laptop model and operating system and burn them to a CD for possible future use. Once those drivers are installed, you all of the yellow question marks should go away and your system should start working just fine.

Have you tried to use your computer when power charger is connected to power supply? Then try it to check if your computer does not shut down. If do not shut down it self. You had problem with the battery or with charger not compatible with the battery. Normal problem of shutting down computer is that your battery have no charge, your battery is not compatible with your laptop or ever defective. Tr

In case of your laptop the easiest method would be using software from Hiren's Boot CD as it's pretty hard to open it up and reach for the CMOS battery or the jumper.

If you were to log on to the manufacturer's web site, I think you will be pleasantly surprised as usually one is able to download, by model number, Customer Instruction Manuals, list of Dealers for spare part supplies and Driver downloads (if applicable) as required.

The information is normally free of charge.

After some research, I did locate the user manual for this notebook, the link is below. The manual provides a good deal of information, what it does not tell you is the location of the hard drive. Generally though, the hard drive is located on the bottom of the laptop, under one of the panels secured by screws. Also, generally, the hard drive is enclosed in a cradle with an adapter that connects the hard drive to the system board. To replace, you unplug the existing hard drive, remove the cradle and put the new drive in the cradle the plug it back in.

I hope that this puts you in the right direction to answer your question. Look at the manual, which will show you where many of the other components are located on the bottom of the notebook. This will help you narrow your search.

Seems to me the inverter is gone if you replace the inverter it will work like a charm

Alright I spent days finding this but it worked for me. I used the drivers for the Averatec 2100 series for WiFi drivers. All the other drivers for my 3200 series worked from the download site at trigem.com

The NTLDR is the boot loader of Windows - if it's missing the OS can't boot. The only reliable and easy way to fix that is to do a Repair install - everything will be kept and the missing files reloaded.

The majority of LCD screens, with exception of the latest models, use a thin fluorescent tube (or tubes) to provide a back-light for the image you can still see. This is a very fragile tube(s) of small diameter and are powered via a small, narrow board that produces the high voltage needed to ionize. Either the tube(s) or the inverter for them is damaged.
If it is the tube, these are not costly but very fragile and often have soldered leads on their ends which requires some careful soldering to install them.

Try also checking the port on the notebook where you connect the plug, maybe its loose or the pin is damaged.

Fans on laptops run when the CPU is taxed. The more its taxed the louder it will be due to higher fan speed. The laptop over the years has gotten bloated with programs and stuff that gets in and stays on your hard drive. The more programs running in the backround the more the CPU is taxed. Try uninstalling useless programs first, empty your recycle bin, delete temporary internet files and cookies, run the disk cleanup utility then perform a scan disk and a deframent. Also you may want to add more memory to your system if it needs it. I use crucial's website (crucial.com) to scan the computer and tell me what memory I can use in my machine. Hope this info helps you out.

you you cannot use that laptop and that tv together without an adapter/converter. the tv does not have a vga or dvi-i input, and the computer does not have an hdmi or dvi-d output output.

you will have to find a vga to hdmi converter, which start at around $40,

This means that you need to reload the video drivers, as something has happened to them. Go to Averatec's site and look for the drivers for your operating system.
