The easiest way to do this is to go online and order a PS2 controller to PC adapter on amazon.com or some other site. I have a Madcatz MC2 and a Ps2 controller to PC adapter (a cheap one -_-") and it works okay (I'm having a lot of trouble with the pedals though).

you have to go to amazon and type in "XBOX Controller to PC / MAC USB Cable Adapter" it only cost $4 plus shipping i had to do it to get my Mad Catz wheel to work with xbox 360. I paid $10 for mine rather then a hundered and works fine with all games.

Sorry, but there is likely nothing you can do about it. If it came completely came out of the socket, and you can see expoesed wiring, you can try to take it apart and put everything back, but there is no guarantee it would work.
