Black prints out with lines

Have you tried cleaning the gold contacts with a pink pencil eraser?
Also forgive me for asking this, but roughly speaking about 80 to 95% of problems involving ink or toner are resolved by the following:
Are you using a factory new ink cartridge supplied by the manufacturer of the printer?
If you are using a refilled or third party cartridge that may well be your problem. Most manufacturers build logic into their products to prevent the use of “Other Equipment Manufactured” cartridges as well as re-filled cartridges.
They do this to prevent problems from contaminated inks causing problems with print quality or damaging the physical printhead.

It keeps giving the alert wrong cartridge and wont

Wrong cartridge refers to the printhead and not the inks. This machine, when the printhead goes bad gives that error. A new printhead is around $60.00 for that machine. QY6-0064-000.

Paper will not feed when

Hi
open the door at the back of the printer and clean the rollers.
Unplug the power cord at the back of the printer while it is still on and then after 30 seconds plug it back in.
If it will still have the same problem then there is a problem with its sensor.
Another common paper feed problem related to printers is a paper jam deep inside the printer. Usually this happens immediately after another piece of paper has jammed the printer. The first sheet of paper leaves behind a small torn piece of paper inside the printer. When you print another document, the next piece of paper hits the smaller piece of paper inside the printer. So, you can't print until you find the small piece of paper. To solve this problem, turn off the printer, open the front cover and look under the rollers and flap doors for the piece of paper. You may have to use something flat like a thin piece of cardboard to stick in between the flap doors to remove the paper. Once the piece of paper has been removed, turn the printer back on and resend your document to the printer.
Another common paper feed problem related to printers is that once you send a document to the printer, the paper will not feed into the printer at all. Check to make sure the paper is completely down in the printer's top paper tray. Also, check your paper guides---they should be pushed against the paper but not jammed into the paper. If the paper still won't feed, check to see if any paper is jammed inside the printer and/or replace the tires on the "pickup assembly" inside the printer.
Documents being printed on an angle is yet another paper feed problem common to printers. When you send the document to the printer, the paper feeds through the printer and doesn't jam, but you notice that the finished document is printed on a slight angle. This problem is mechanical. The printer has only one pinch roller on the right side of the printer inside. When the motor inside the printer pulls the paper, the paper guide on the right side doesn't help keep the paper aligned. It doesn't matter how much paper you place in the printer, the problem can't be resolved. Try loading less paper and printing again.
To help prevent some of the paper feed problems related to Lexmark printers, make sure you buy paper that is recommended for inkjet printers. Also, do not force paper when loading into the paper tray; push the paper guides to the side of the paper, not into the paper; load only a few sheets of paper at a time; use a can of compressed air to blow out dust and paper fragments; and load envelopes vertically against the right side of the sheet feeder.

Cannot install it on Computer which is Windows

I think you answered your own question here ... if it will not work on 64 bit ... well ... you cant install it on 64 bit.

Might you have a second computer in the house which you could add to a network - attach your printer to that qualified computer and then have it as a network share?

have you checked at Canon for a 64 bit driver?????

Wrong cartridge error message.

You need to replace the printhead (QY6-0064-000). It costs me around $50 in the U.S. But now, it works just fine. indogirl

Two in one cable for two desk top computers

You'll have to get a printer switch. Go to a local computer store and ask for one, or search the Internet for printer switches. You'll find a load of them.

Does not feed paper from the back

Normal 0 I suggest you get a sheet of Card Stock (Heavy paper) and place it in the feed way. Then press the print button applying a slight amount of pressure on the Card Stock so it will feed through the printer. The reason for this is in some cases I have been able to clear the paper track of debris that was deposited there over time.
Worth a try, as I have fixed a number of printers this way, saving costly repairs.
Hope this helps. Bud

PAPER JAM

Open your printer and check inside in all compartments where the paper goes thru. After that use some dust spray to eliminate all possible little pieces of paper.

Mp730 would not scan nor copy

The only way I can get the scanner function to work is if the copier is hooked up directly to the computer. This will not work if it is connected through a hub. Also, I tend to use the MPtools to do all my scanning.
