the waste ink tank is the spongy surface under the nozzles when the printer is in the online waiting state, remove this pad and clean it once you have reset the counter or you will soon find leaks of ink!

do a printer cleaning operation. Your printer software should have a process in it like that. takes prob. 5 to 10 min.

I think you could change this in your printers settings. go to printers ->righclick on your printer and then preferences. there you should find your color settings. put it to color instead of black and white

You need to make sure that the Canon Multipass F80 Printer Driver is properly installed on your new laptop. The printer is usually in one of the CD included on the printer package when you bought it. If you previously installed this on your system, you may try to remove and re-install it once again because there cases that the driver software is already corrupted.

This printer should use a standard USB A to USB B Female to Female connector. I believe that I have remember this correctly.

Replace the ink cartriges

The black tank may not be installed properly. pl install it properly as the instruction given with user manual and try again

download the driver from the hardware seller it is free to download driver from hardware manufacurer

Too many things can cause that, paper jams, carriage errors, printhead problems, purge assembly errors, feed roller errors, need more info to be of any help.

On the f80 you need a shop to go to service mode and get the error code and tell you what the problem is. Could be purge assembly, waste ink full, feeder error, printhead error, any number of possible problems.

Here is resetting instructions for your printer:

The print head is bleeding over.
You can try and take it apart and change o-rings.
If not you need a new head.

Try to bring it back to factory by removing the ink and printhead.remove power plug from wall or unit for a half hour,re-install all ink and printhead and power cord.Let machine run throug its cycles and try a nozzle check.If that does not do it the machine may need to be replaced.

You can download the drivers manually online via the printers website. Also, make sure you have downloaded all the service packs for whichever version of windows you are using.
