Black BCI 24 does not print after replacement.
I have to ask this question of you, just to make sure this is not an issue. Are you using a factory new ink cartridge?
Please consider the following:
If you are using a refilled or third party cartridge that may well be your problem. Most manufacturers build logic into their products to prevent the use of “Other Equipment Manufactured” cartridges as well as re-filled cartridges.
They do this to prevent problems from contaminated inks causing problems with print quality or damaging the physical printhead.
If you are using factory new cartridges, then please call the manufacturers Technical Support for assistance with the warranty on the cartridges

Put new black cartridge in
Before you junk the printer. I would try a new OEM cartridge to clear the nozzles (at least run the deep cleaning procedure 3x). Sometimes the nozzles really get gummed up and the only way to clear them is to use a new OEM cartridge to clean them. For some reason, the aftermarket cartridges do not work in cleaning the gummed nozzles.
If the new OEM cartridge trick works, I would be aware of aftermarket and refilled cartridges since they may vary in quality control. I've used LDproducts.com for my aftermarket Canon cartridge supplier for over 3 years without problems.
Let me know if this helps.
Where is the waste ink absorber and how do I get
The absorber covers the entire bottom of the printer. You need to remove all covers and then the print engine. The error code can only be reset in the service mode by a canon tech. Cleaning the pad doesn't help.
When I go to print I get the message
Time to look for a new printer, Canon has no parts for this model, it was only exchanged for a new printer during the warranty period and after the warranty expires you toss it when it breaks.
How can clear absorber full ip waste
Thru the service mode the error can be reset, but this is a disposable printer that Canon has no parts for, so you can't get the right absorber pad for it. If you reset the count there's a good chance ink will overflow in the near future. Canon only replaced the whole printer during the warranty period and after that it's new printer time.
Hello there
Usually means theres a paper jam or your out of paper or some problem is occurring. While that blinking orange is blinking press and hold it for about 5 seconds the printer should stop blinking orange and continue with the print. Also open up your printer to see if there are any documents that are in the print queue. Probably can delete those. Thats my guess as to whats wrong with the printer. Used to have one of those. Nice little printer remember 12 blacks for 12 bucks.
