What to do when waste

Hi,

STEP 1:
- Disconnect printer from AC power

STEP 2:
- Press and HOLD the POWER button, and connect printer to AC power

This simple power off procedure worked for me!

Cleaning the absorber was also easy. Power up with the cover open until the head moves to the left side then disconnect the power cord so the head is now positioned away from the pads.
The two pads can be lifted up easily with a pair of sharp tweezers then rinsed in running water. They will become white again and can be blotted with paper napkins then air dried in a warm location. The wells in the rubber holder can be cleaned with cotton swabs before returning the two pads (left side first, then press down the right side).

My printer does not printing

jkarmaker,

Have you replaced the inkjet cartridge lately? If so it may not be inserted fully or may be misaligned. If you haven't replaced it the cartridge could still be out of the carriage or misaligned from a bad paper feed. Open the top while the power is on. The cartridges should move to the removal section. Remove the cartridges and reinsert them making sure that they are fully seated. They should click into place when aligned properly. Close the top and try printing. If this was the problem your unit should now be OK. If the unit still has problems I would suggest installing new cartridges. If this does not solve your problem you have a bad control board in the printer. This would not be worth fixing. New units do not cost that much.

Thanks for using FixYa and for the great rating. Please consider a testimonial. Thank you.

Waste ink absorber full, printer will not print?

When you see this message it indicates waste ink absorber is full. The machine uses special pads so it will not leak in and outside the machine. Now you can replace the pads but the machine will need dis-assembly to do this "messy job" and when that is done you must download a utility for your model "if available" to reset the counters so you can print, and finally the carriage must be aligned so it does not swing to far to the left or right because gears will grind. Most service centers suggest replacing the printer at this point.

Printer fails to print anything

It seems simple enough, but this is one of the most effective ways of fixing printer cartridge error. Mostly, printer cartridge error occurs when the printer head is unable to identify the cartridge properly. And the basic reason behind this is that the cartridge is improperly attached.

To reattach the cartridge check the following steps :

turn on the lid of the printer and then remove the cartridge from the printer head.

Check the cartridge to make sure that there are no scratches or other damaged parts that can contribute to a printer cartridge error report.

Take note that the cartridge should not be left open for more than 30 minutes; otherwise the ink will start to dry up and the cartridge will get clogged.

I cannot print and receive the message 'the waste

First empty the tank, Power up with the cover open until the head moves to the left side then disconnect the power cord so the head is now positioned away from the pads.
The two pads can be lifted up easily with a pair of sharp tweezers then rinsed in running water. They will become white again and can be blotted with paper napkins then air dried in a warm location (I used an industrial oven set to 40°C). The wells in the rubber holder can be cleaned with cotton swabs before returning the two pads (left side first, then press down the right side).
then try this to reset:
1 - press resume button and then press power button
2 - release the resume button and press 2 more times then release both
3 - press and release resume 4 times and power 2 times...
