External batteries

Sounds to me like you have a winning plan of attack. I did the same thing a couple years back, bought one of those 4XAA battery holders with a little slide switch and put a jack on the end of the wire...worked fine. Then I bought a 6V 1500 mAh rechargeable battery from Radio Shack that was made for r/c cars and such. It worked great too. Never had problem one with either setup.

Microsoft Outlook data won't synch

In ActiveSybch there is an option of setting the priority of either the PC, the PDA or leaving the items unresolved. You can either change this of follow another route. With the device off the cradle delete the partnership WITHOUT deleting the partnership folder. Place the device on the cradle & let AS find the device & setup the partnership. Once setup remove the device & go to options & set all the required options. Replace the device & it should synchronise. If you still have problems please contact me directly through email.

E-105G System error?

Your only recourse would be a hard reset. If you wish to go back to the same stage before installation of Quake you will have to delete the partnership in ActiveSynch WITHOUT deleting the Synch folder. Next place the hard reset device on to the cradle. Active synch will find the device. Create partnership using the same identity parameters as you had before hard reset. Setup the synch option to manual. Click on the tools - add remove programs. Highlight Quake if it is on the list & click remove. You can then add rest of the software on the list. Once installed you can go back to the main screen & click on the synch icon. I am not a gamer but you might try installing quake on a cf card in stead of the main memory. It might solve your problem of excessinve storage space/ ram requirement.

Need your knowledge base

Were you able to access your mail with the earlier CE 2.11 version before the upgrade ? I too am using a rom upgraded E-105 I don't think it is a problem with java script issue since I have been accessing mail from my ISP both through the http ( online & browser) mode as well as the standard POP mode. My ISP is running strictly on UNIX & Java. Hope this helps.

Me again, I'm just getting really bummed about my 105....

I too own an E-105 and we can at least be glad we have the 105 and not the 100 model. We have 32 mb of ram rather than 16. Unfortunately we also have something that is getting older by the minute. Our cpu is a MIPS R4000, so when you see software to download, make sure it is MIPS compatiable or you are SOL. And then not all MIPS software will run. I like to kill time too, luckily there are chess, checkers, backgammon games out there that run on our machines. If you are looking for super graphic killer type games...you are severely limited. I don't listen to music much on mine, I mean why run out of power on a pocketpc for music when you can buy a stereo radio which if you lose, isn't the end of the world. A hard reset isn't a bad idea when it gets too confusing, and is simple to do. The best thing is just to install each program one at a time and make sure they work before installing others.

Could someone help me please? (Newbie Alert!)

There are several types of processors used - find out which yours has and be sure the software will work on that processor. ARM SH3 Mips are the three as I recall. I have three hand units and two different processors.

Weird behaviour on my CASIO WK3500.

.This issue with your CASIO WK3500 keyboard could be caused by a few different things, including:
  1. Power supply issue: The issue could be with the power supply, and it may not be providing enough voltage to the keyboard when first plugged in.
  2. Circuit board problem: The issue could be with the circuit board within the keyboard, and it may not be able to start properly if there's a problem with the power supply.
  3. Firmware issue: There could be a firmware issue that is causing the keyboard to not start properly, which could be resolved by updating the firmware.
  4. Electrical interference: There could be electrical interference in the area that is causing the keyboard to behave erratically.

How to reset casio wk 1800

I think to get the factory reset on that keyboard, you hold down the 'ENTER' button, while turning on the power. You then get a dialogue, to guide you thru a reset proceedure. This will clear the memory, also...so you will need to reload any custom sounds you may have created.Oct. 11, 2005

Casio e-100 doesn't charge. Charger is new, green light goes on for 1 sec when connecting the charger

You may have a zombie battery.. try this: plug charger in at wall, then into device, then rapid-fire unplug and plug in device, try to be as quick as you can, 2 or more times per second, this can often bring back a battery from the dead.. reasoning: initial voltage to battery from charger is a "surge" and the rapid fire surge is what you're after.. like heart paddles. . Good luck be safe.
