Leave the suction side valve open. loosen the union a couple of turns, on the discharge side of the pump, or one of the unions at the heater assembly, it doesn't matter which of the three. You will get water, then the HISS of Air! Let all the air come out, then water again, for about 3-5 seconds, then tighten. Open the closed valve. Start system. It should take off. Good luck.

Hi There are so many ways and methods to unclog your drainpipe either you can use a snake auger if the dirt doesn't block inside your drain pipe. There is usually a rubber gasket inside the spout/spigot - this is called the diverter. This gasket can wear out or crack over time. Sometimes you can fix or clean just the rubber gasket, but most times it is easier and quicker to replace the whole spout/diverter. They are usually screwed on and will have teflon tape to seal the NPT pipe threads. Easy fix.
